As with all mods, only if they prove the mod contributed to or caused the damage.

Honestly it depends on your dealer. If Quirt/Crawford has done there math right, and they do have a lot of respect amongst there customers, then this part should* not push the safety limit to far towards a lean condition and shouldn't* damage your engine. If the part did cause the engine to lean out to far and damaged the engine, and the dealer was able to prove such, then you would be out of luck for a warranty repair.

*This is all based upon Crawford, I'm not Crawford, therefore I can't say it with authority that they did the math right. Hopefully when Quirt puts a Tacoma on the dyno he gets some Lambda numbers to back up the safety of there product

True, its fully up to the dealer you are working with. I have seen them deny a fully stock vehicle and then cover one with minimal mods. I also think it has more to do with your attitude than anything else which holds true for everyday life ;)

As for the math... I have been tuning motors for 20+ years now and feel I have a handle on it. That said, I am human and do make mistakes.

Not rocket science here boys and girls. If you are concerned, when you take it to dealer, remove the EB first.....

True... but they are going to wonder why you cut up the engine cover too and any technician with half a brain would realize you messed with the MAF. So I wouldn't cut up the cover either. Even though the dealer has to prove a part caused an issue, that involves a court of law so you don't want to put yourself in that position if you can avoid it.

Again it all comes down to the dealer.

To remove the EB, you need to pop up the cover. Then just remove the cover. Evidence gone. If they deny based on no cover, dealer has bigger problem.

Point is, if in doubt, take some steps. They are even easy steps, not like removing a set of headers or something.

It is up to the dealer to prove it caused a problem not you, so there would be no reason for you to hire a lawyer unless you wanted to fight their decision.

But at the end of the day, the small increase in power from this product is not enough to damage the engine or any other mechanical part on the vehicle.

One can never have too many light bars.
I ordered one of these bad boys so we'll see if it makes a difference. I will probably just leave the engine cover off for now. Can't wait to see some Dyno results.

Well, I have been thru a 1/2 tank since I installed the EB, I reset the Ultra Gauge and my mpgs is sitting at 22.4, over 2mpgs better then anything I have ever gotten and this is trips of less than 25 miles maximum, mostly city, maybe 70%.

I have a big trip coming up, we'll see some 300 miles of freeway driving.

First tank results for me, i usually average 18.5 - 18.75, first tank with ecoblock 19.62. This is my second best tank ever, only second to the one tank I actually tried to get good mileage. I drove normally, doesn't seem like its faster or more powerful, just more efficient. On my normal commute to the ranch my truck would downshift on three hills, last two days it only downshifted on one. Cruise control set at 80.

That's pretty good considering you were running 80. The best I've gotten is 20.3. That was bone stock. 265/70r16 tires on the interstate never got it above 2k Rpms. None stock was s few years ago

My best tank was only going 65 on freeway and taking off as slow as possible without losing my mind. The first tank with ecoblock was only .5 mpgs lower than my best tank. I'm sure the ecoblock helped, because I drove exactly how I always drive. It gave me roughly one mile more per gallon, which is worth $50.

We had an introductory price in January and ended up carrying it over to February because it felt like the right thing to do.

    Sorry you missed it :(

So people are buying this product and we don't even know if its really safe for the engine and its longtivity. Shouldn't they have dynoed a tuck before they started selling the product... That makes more sense.

There are a lot of things that we don't know are safe for our engines but we still use them :notsure:. But what's a tuck?

its a universal product, they aren't going to dyno every vehicle they sell it for. plus this isn't going to lean us N/A guys out enough anyways to create harm since the trucks run rich as dogs in open loop to start with.

A dyno will just tell us the additional power of the particular vehicle as opposed to safety factor.

Our EB is designed to fit on a vehicle that has a check engine light on the dash.
If you install it without the supplied O-ring then it will throw a CEL, if you do not tighten it correctly then it will throw a CEL, if the product causes your engine to run too lean then it will also throw a CEL.

Like Steez said, this is a universal product that works on all types of vehicles world wide. Strangely enough it even works on turbo diesel Toyota trucks :)
