I have the same CB, it's awesome. I highly recommend this one.

CB's are now mandatory to come on this trip.

Just placed the order for the yakima rails to go down the top of the bed sides, got the cross bars (already have the towers and landing pads) and ordered a Trxedo Low Pro QT Tonneau cover. Just need that group buy for CVT to start so I can pick it up and get a CB and tires then I am set!

And got a POP n Lock Tailgate handle so I can lock it since the tonneau locks in and can't be opened w/o the tail gate being opened.

I am posting this here because I only need a yes or no on if I am missing anything.

I am going to get the BAMF rear tailgate mount. Only need to talk on trails not across the country.

I wouldn't run the 5' on the BAMF mount. The BAMF mount moves a shit load with the 4' as it is.

I'd run a spring and skip the removable mount with a 4'. Also no spring can hold a 5' for shit...trust me..I know..

Right on thanks. So firestick heavy duty spring & 4' Black antenna.

Is there a better option than the BAMF? Like the CBI hood one...? I used to have the gutter mount on my Bronco but haven't run a CB mount in many years. Been using handhelds with 2ft antenna on them for 4+ years. Not trying to jack this thread but the "CB" threads have too many you're wrong I'm right people in them.

The BAMF one is okay. I had to rebuild bens this last fall however.

The CBI hood mount works great. I have a buddy with it but for that Id just run the 2' antenna. He runs that with his 520xlpro and has an swr of 1.2. Works great and is out of the way from basically everything.

Even if I have a Yakima Load Warrior up top? I guess for a trail I don't need anything else. Right on thanks for the help!

I run a 4' firestik, heavy duty spring, and quick disconnect on a hood channel mount. I've smacked it around a lot and it holds up great.

Looks like Spoon and I had about the same shopping carts (well mines the wish list)

    -Heavy duty spring
    -K4-A stud
    -same cable as Spoon

CBI mount. Just have to decide passenger side vs drivers side. Ill have a stubby antenna for the passenger side so sorta leaning that side (since i rarely use radio anyways)

Only thing i havent decided on is the 2' or 3' firestik. Amazon doesnt have the 3' in black and ebay has it for twice as much as the 2' (via amazon)

Well only other hting is which unit ill go for...the 520xl or a fancier one (probably just the 520xl)

I have a question. Why does everyone use firestick? I see lots of posts on here referring to firestick but am just wondering.

Just a good antenna I guess. My dad has just a whip though and it works fine. The fire sticks are also super easy to tune.

The firestik cane take plenty of hits and when coupled with a spring it'll be totally fine.

I've wondered the same, and I think it comes down to people not exploring other options. I'm totally in love with my Wilson Flex and I think it's incredibly good. Very thin, tunable tip, and it is flexible enough that you can damn near bend it in half if you like.
