If you say so. They're still visible, though.

Snow finally shed off of my garage roof yesterday...all two feet of it. With some serious velocity. Piled up against my shed and chicken coop. About 8 feet high against the shed, and about 6 feet high against the coop. Totally wiped out the fencing for the chicken run, too, so that'll be added to the list of spring projects. I'll try to remember to get some pictures when I get home tonight.

That sucks, but could have been worse. On the news last week they had a story about a guy in Maine that got buried for 3 hrs while clearing off his metal roof. I guess it all just slid down on top of him.
Do you still have access to the buildings?

Definitely could have been worse. The Shed is leaning about 3 inches between the peak and the sills, so the door doesn't shut all the way, but I didn't see any actual damage inside. I had to shovel the door out to gain access, and I'll have to shovel the door to the coop out as well, for the same reason. This morning I just shoveled out the chicken's access door, which is on the front side and only got buried by snow flowing past it rather than into it. And the egg door is on the other side, so no work needed there. So I got lucky with that, but it's still going to be a lot of work this weekend to get all that snow out of there.

I feel for ya, without thinking I threw all the snow from my addition on top of my trash and recycling area. All that snow mixed with whats melted is like cement when it compacted. Took me longer to dig it out than clearing the roof itself.
Yep, Spring can start any time now, I think we're ready.

Didn't LA just get snow not too long ago? Like a few days ago?

Hope your daughter feels better, and I hope you don't get her bug for your trip. Kids are sickness machines

I'm going to bludgeon you with a dictionary.

Thanks it's going around her daycare. She's ok about 2 hours after giving her motrin, but then when it starts to wear off she loses it and her temp goes back up0c4f2657644d1c3b0fab8aac23de0706_839070d17a2aadc07db391596470ffe7d846e3b8.jpg

In fairness I did fuck up the spelling of the title..and his generation doesn't know what a book is

Got my new toy/project home last night. Love it already, but I've also already found some issues with it, haha! Primary problem in terms of driveability is that the shifter linkage is sloppy, so I'll probably pull it into the garage this weekend and see if I can diagnose it. From what I've read online the linkage eggs out the mounting holes pretty commonly, and a rebuilt kit costs about $60. Not a huge expense, but it'll be a couple hours of work. But it needs it; the shift pattern's loose enough that twice last night at stop signs I stuffed it into 3rd instead of 1st and stalled it like a noob. :anonymous:
But, I also barked the tires a couple of times (unintentionally) pulling away from a stop. So she's got some power. :D :burnrubber:
Some Pics (weird lighting due to taking the shots at twilight; trying to get the photos in and also get the plates bolted on before it got dark)

The heart of the beast! 318 w/an Edelbrock Performer 4-barrel. Engine was rebuilt a few thousand miles ago and had a mild cam installed at the same time. Headers into true duals out the back. Not a huge high-performance Mopar elephant motor, but it motivates the truck in a hurry.
