Who has the ugliest compressor? I'll put mine out there. It was made from the parts of 3 broken compressors bought off Craigs list. I call it my Franken-pressor.

We have a big one we use at work, it's about as y'all as me. It's all messed up, Frankensteined from two or three different compressors, and it is ratchet strapped to a hand truck since the wheels broke off.

I have 3 compressors , the oldest one is an Eagle 20 gallon single tank I've had for about 20 years , it's not that ugly , it just refuses to die

Holy crap, dude, all those studs weren't sistered up to support anything like the second story or anything, were they?

No as far as I can tell three studs run next to the fire place and one on top. I plan on running a horizontal stud to span the gap above the pipe to help with support just in case.

Just wondering, why didn't you just drill a hole in the studs?

Carrying a header over the firebox opening would be my guess

How can you tell ? It doesn't look like you removed any drywall at the top of the wall .

If I drilled a hole I would never be able to get the curved pipe in it. I got the curved pipe so that I can run any cables in the future or if I need to replace any that go bad. As far as I know there would be no way to get that curve via drilling, but I am pretty new at this.

Also if I drilled a hole to fit that pipe width wouldn't I be removing close to the same amount of wood? Granted it would be more balanced, right?

I honestly can't. My father was a contractor for years and I helped him when I was younger but really haven't done it since I was in high school. This is my first home so I am trying to take a stab at things I can. I honestly didn't want to open up more than I needed because I really have never "mudded" seams before.

What would you have recommended? I am always looking for tips to improve or open to what someone else may have done instead.

There is a good chance that there is a header that spans the opening that houses the fireplace , it would most likely be at the top of the wall .

FYI for future reference , you can get flexible conduit for these types of jobs that would allow you to get it through a drilled hole and still provide a future path for wires

Every morning I have a ton of condensation on the bedroom windows, is that a bad sign? Or sign that my room is well insulated?

Poor air exchange , or poor windows or low temperature inside the room or a combo

Windows are newer double panes, but we sleep with the bedroom door and window shut. I'll try opening the door and seeing it it helps, at least until the weather warms up and I can crack the window.

Not wood, probably vinyl or aluminum. Haven't really done anything but clean the glass and tracks.

Aluminum can sweat quite a lot especially if the frames are not thermally broken
