haha just wanted to share some money saving for TW members

It's not everday you can buy quality AT tires for less then $500 shipped. I was expecting to buy tires later this year for around $600-$700 plus mounting & balancing, so I couldn't say no to such a sweet deal.

Well, this was the first "mod" I have made to my 2012 Tacoma. Since buying the truck I have felt nekkid without a way to tow things.

Fist part was the Curt 13323 Class III hitch I got off of Amazon for a great price:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007VANJK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

While I was there I decided to go with the wiring loom Curt 55513 T-Connector
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EOV3JS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Step one...pull bumper off. Pretty easy. We then lifted the hitch and lossly bolted it. Two people did make this job go a whole lot easier (as did the three or four beers for the install). Before putting the bumper back on we decided to wire up the loom. I have read here that you need to have spare zip-ties ready. Good thing I listed to people as the kit only came with four zip ties!!

When we went to re-install the bumper it was not fitting quite right. We read the instructions a few more time (one sheet of paper) and realized that the spacers (four of them) were ment to go BETWEEN the bumper mount and the bumper so we pulled the mounts off, put the spacers in and attached the mounts again. Behold! The mounts now lined up with the frame!!

Gently tightening everything we banged the bumper around to line it up with the bottom of the tailgate and then went to town with the tourque wrench.

All and all, a really easy install. Good excuse to drink beers in the garage with friends.

I hear you man. Deals pop up from time to time. I have about 15k-20k left on my OE tires. Feels good to splurge on things you need down the road and it's what you wanted in the first place

Thanks, Bro! Yeah, we're hoping this is the last blast but we'll see. I miss San Dog, especially on days like this.
