He is tall but skinny for an almost 10 year old. His birthday is coming up and he never learned to ride a bike. So I figure I'll surprise him and get him one but I'm going to probably need training wheels until he gets his confidence up to ride it. I know he's going to crash on this thing a lot. He is always managing to hurt himself on his feet, now we are adding wheels. I'll get you his height and I will spend 100 or so if needed.

Just have to remember, with skinny rims. Comes weight limits.

Edit: A first time rider, is probably going to ruin those rims.

That Haro is sick! My brother still has his 1st gen Haro from the 80s.

I'm not getting him something that nice, he'll get it stolen. I'm not even sure how much he will ride it yet either. He has a scooter and a skateboard that he rides every now and then.
I'll get him measured up, I've got about 20 days to make a purchase.
As for the pedals trick, I totally forgot about that!! Thanks for the reminder! That will be way better. Thanks guys

The first set of Skinny Rims I had on my powerlite bmx I pancaked the rear rim the third big jump I hit. Takes a long time to learn to land those just right without damaging them.

Still have the first set of skinny rims I ever rode on, on my first race bike. Early 90's GT Mini Mach One, all chrome. Bike had either a 75lb or 100lb weight limit.

EDIT: I've ruined plenty of rims tho. Just never took any of my race bikes of any of those types of "sweet jumps". Tracks only.

The track we had in Chandler (Chandler BMX) had a big huge ass jump that you could either bypass or take it.

Only bitches bypassed it hahaha. No way would my friends ever let it down if you bypassed the jump.

Kinda happy about how she turned out, with the COs set at Zero the ride feels very much like my drift spec 350Z that was equipped with full Tanabe suspension . . . Well except with more more ground clearance and the desert running at speed.
