Quirt, do you have an EB that would work with a 2011 Kia Sorento with the 2.4L 4 cylinder engine?

My old man has done nothing but complain about crappy gas mileage since he bought that thing. I've never personally been a fan of the tank but he bought it because at the time, it had the highest EPA estimated highway MPG of any vehicle in it's class. The window sticker claimed 20 MPG city, 27 MPG highway and 22 MPG combined (Hyundai/Kia has since been sued for lying about their gas mileage) and after having kept detailed records since buying the thing new, he's never once recorded anything better than 24 MPG... Anyway, if the EB works to improve the gas mileage of the gas guzzling Tacoma, I think purchasing one for the old man's Kia would be the best early Father's Day present I could get him. Thanks.

If he complains enough the dealership will give him a gas card to subsidize the lie they told him. I know someone that got one ;)

Anyways, the Korean cars do not even use a MAF sensor so he is out of luck... sorry

Just ordered one of these puppies for my 11 Taco. Currently with:

    1) winter gasoline
    2) steel plate front bumper with hoops
    3) LT265/70R17 Goodyears Dura Trac tires
    4) fiberglass cap
    5) Icon coilovers and shocks

I've been getting avg. of 15mpg for winter time here in Ohio, in summer I go up to 17-18. Hopefully this will help.

I haven't noticed any power gains. And I won't know about mileage for a while. I did notice that the truck seems to run at lower rpm at highway speeds. I've been getting 13-14 Omg this winter . Shitty gas. Warming up w remote starter and lots of 4x4 driving. We'll see

Not possible unless your torque converter is not locked, or you are downgearing.

This is why I wait for real world dyno testing and a few dozen reviews buy many different memebers... This can't be true because the truck should run at the same RPM on the highway unless it's for the reasons mentioned by Lurkin.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
So, I don't know about fuel yet. One tank isn't going to show me anything.

But, I will say I have noticed better power going up hills. It would typically shift down to 3rd to get up one of the hills I drive on daily (65mph), and now it rarely drops below 4th. I feel a bit more in my accel on the freeway while passing, and I don't seem to need to put as much right foot into it to keep it at it's freeway speeds of 70.

I'm on my second tank, and it will be 75% freeway. I was averaging 16-17mpg for the past 6 months. I'll update with my next few tanks.

Good to know! Still haven't had a chance to install mine. This wonderful PA snow and cold weather doesn't help.
