Awesome review Chris!! Thanks for the business and taking the time to do this.

We first tried to remodel the overseas lights, but that wasnt up to our specs, so now we build these IN-HOUSE in Las Vegas of both USA and overseas sourced goods. Every light has a 3 year warranty as we know these things are practically indestructible. In a few days I will post up the build process so you all can see why our lights are better than anything built overseas.

For now, check out some of the cold weather testing we have done. Our lights were suspended in 5ft deep water for 6 days, frozen at 18 degrees fahrenheit for 4 days and there were no issues.

I am putting up a TW deal in a few minutes, but the first 5 members to buy a pair will get FREE CBI Ditch Light brackets.

I'll start by saying that I am not in any way trying to hijack this thread or excel over Chris' review/photos. Because he did a great job. It's just that I fell in love with these lights the first time Vision X announced these and was so excited. That is until I saw the price, which I believe was MUCH higher at that time for a pair. Now that Chas of MRT at Total Automotive Performance has released these lights, he's given us all a more realistically cost effective solution to those that aren't looking to spend a fortune on lights and simply can't afford the best of the best. So I jumped on it as soon as I found these! Anyways... I believe, again no offense whatsoever Chris, that these lights deserve all the credit they can get:D I was gonna post my own review as I got these lights a while ago, just havent got around to getting it done... I ended up taking a TON of pictures. Filtered out all the bad ones, and tried to limit the amount I would post here. But I got a lot of great output shots and just couldn't resist sharing these:D Therefore I thought it best to just add on here instead of having another similar thread. This may get pretty long and out of control, but I'm bored so grab some  and read on:)

Chris has already provided the specs above. Along with shots of the un-boxing and the harness with switch. Of which I can agree on the great quality and added care to seal up the relay connector done by TAP. Not to mention the fact that these lights are 're-manufactured' in-house to provide us with increased quality of an already great light, as well as some peace of mind knowing that these lights were given extra care and fully inspected here in the US. These are pretty much an exact clone of the Vision X Light Cannons. I have not personally seen the Vision X's first hand and could not even find in depth reviews or videos showing these lights. Even their website is lacking on showing us how well they really perform. Obviously yes, the real deals will certainly outperform these without a doubt. How much? I cannot say. But I imagine it wouldn't be enough to justify spending DOUBLE the price of these from Chas. Yes that's right, Vision X is selling these at more than double what Chas is offering them for.

I also have clones of Vsion X's Evo Prime led bars. And let me tell you, they are simply amazing. Both in design and optics. Even though my bars use lesser quality circuitry and different led's (Cree's), they really put out and amaze me every time I flip them on:D The optics really play a big part in how well your lights will perform. And IMO, Vision X has the best designs and optics that I have seen. I'm only stating this because it all plays a part in how well these cannons perform. And not only that, these have the Luminus led chips, versus cree. Don't get me wrong, Cree's are pretty awesome, but Luminus does outperform them. A little side note on the led itself as well, is that it seems to produce more of a 5000K color. Maybe like 5500K. Not quite the same color as my led bars produce, but almost. You can't even tell unless you capture it in pictures. This is NOT a con in any way. If anything, I think this is actually better on the eyes, and produces a smoother and slightly better detailed output, such as in the road and in trees.

The ONLY con, which for some it may not be at all, is the fact that combined with CBI ditch light brackets on 1ST GEN TACOS (I cannot state whether or not this would affect 2nd gens or others) the light sits RIGHT behind the radio antenna. Again may not be an issue for some, and really isnt that bad. Not like it affects the output or anything (no "rod shadows" for example). But it does create some noise from the vibration of the rod tapping the light when wheeling. Not affected at speed though. And if you are swapping out covers, just takes bending the antenna out just a hair to slip the cover on. I am currently looking at different antenna options, such as replacing it with a stubby or relocating it completely as I personally want to move it out of the way. I have another thread that discusses this located here: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1s...-options-hidden-antenna-cb-antenna-radio.html

    Few other specs:
12 snap on filters to choose from!!!
    3 year warranty!!!

Filters (Covers) and other wiring accessories:
    http://shop.totalautomotiveperformance.net/mrt-lighting/mrt-lighting-accessories/g-76953.aspx
It appears that Chas is only offering two snap on filters (via the website store). I thought he had more but may be limited supllies and not shown on the site.(?) Maybe Chas can elaborate on this as I am interested in trying a couple more out!
Prices on covers (via TAP web store) $11.25

If in fact Chas is only offering a couple cover options, Vision X may be an option for more cover choices. Vision X covers, I'd imagine, would be a perfect fit on the MRT LuxMasters. Again I say I IMAGINE they would fit, but cannot say for sure. I'm not sure Chas can either. But I would certainly think they would. I may end up purchasing a set if, unfortunately, Chas doesn't offer all the cover options;) Hopefully he'll chime in with all the details. Would also like to state, Chas, that your site does not list your covers as a 'pair'. Or are they priced accordingly for individual (single light) covers? (Thanks btw)

With the following cover options, there are 20, yes 20 different variations.
See ATTACHED picture (at bottom of post) for all the covers and beam patterns explained. (Pulled from Visionx.com)

    4 color options
    5 beam patterns
1 Blackout cover (which is also Glow-in-the-dark!)
    $19.00 a pair via Vision X web store:http://www.visionxusa.com/product/a...non-polycarbonate-covers/#section-information
Above link for covers on Vision X also has an 'interactive' menu that changes the cover with your choices selected.

Would also like to state that Chas is a great guy to work with, even though he's hard to get a hold of at times. He's a busy guy so just be patient and he'll get back to you;)

So yeah, on to the output shots finally:D
Keep in mind that the lights ARE aimed properly. They appear to be pointed downwards, but in fact are NOT! It's just that pencil spot beam becomes much larger at a distance than it appeared up close to the house, naturally... So it does have a pretty wide spot beam down range. Lights up the bottom portion of the road after about, oh idk, 50 feet maybe. Something like that.. And lights up almost the entire road at a further distance. I could've even had room for horizontal alignment, and aimed them out to the sides a bit, and still had a great spot pattern that was even wider.

Also note, how Chris had mentioned above, that the "spill" of the light/reflector creates quite a bit of light out to the sides as well!! I think I've captured that quite well in my shots. So you could say they naturally have a "flood" pattern at the same time. It's certainly not as crazy bright as the main spot beam is, but I think it's pretty much perfect. Not too much, not too little. Lights up the sides just right.
(Please ignore the big red wire behind the valence. I took my 20" bar out, and am currently awaiting time to work on re-installing that with a new valence, as well as fix the wiring. And dont forget there's captions between the pics:) )

Same shot^^^ But with shadows and exposure raised to show the beams, as well as how far the light really travels even if being faint at such a long distance. (Hard to say how far, but I'm sure you can tell, that tower is WAY out there. Again, previous picture shows more close to actual output perceived first person.

    20" Evo Prime clone: 10watt led's (bumper valence) 10,320L
Two 8" Evo Prime clone: 10 watt led's (bumper valence turn signal area) 3440L ea.
Two Rigid srq ambers (used as dtrl's) (hood)
And of course, the MRT LuxMasters!!!!!!!! 25watt led's! (On CBI ditch light brackets) 1800L ea.
TRS Mini H1 projectors (2200 lumens each I believe)
    Combined raw lumens: 47,365

This shot has ALL my lights^^ (a previous pic that I've posted before, but had to share:D)
You can still see, if you look carefully, the "spill" from the cannons on the street off to the side:)

Okay I'm done. Jesus that was WAY longer than I had hoped, heh. Oh well

EDIT: Wasn't gonna add this, but wth. Forgive my poor cameraman skills. Using my phone, and these roads are ROUGH!
Also keep in mind, that this video is kind of a fail and does not do these lights justice AT ALL. Neither do the pics completely. But pretty close.

Yeah man.. I gotta reinstall my other 3 bars in my new valance I got in the mail recently. I'm HOPING I'll have time to do it ALL next Tuesday. Also gonna have to redo all my wiring one day eventually. Got a big rats nest under the hood. Probly gonna get a relay box from skygear. Idk yet...

But yeah man, enjoying these lights. And again, I may have to get the 65 watters (?) from ya too, in time. And swap them out.. My other bars are just too bright for the 25 watt ones. I do notice an increase though! And another issue I pointed out in another post, which Idk if you saw, but the radio antenna rests right against the passenger light on 1st gens. I'm probly gonna figure out a relocate mod for it. Not sure where to begin with that.

Anyways.. I'll be including my review in my previous post when I get around to it, so it's up on the front page;)

You might want to remove the antennae, and bend it to go around the light, then re install. Ive done that in the past with good results. beats relocating the thing, and reception doesn't suffer.

i recently picked up a rigid 20 amber bar to replace my crappy china yellow bar to hopefully gain some good lighting while on night runs. i havent had the chance to test offroad yet.
i also have a decent setup of lights on the front of my truck.
    2 rigid duallys spot
    20 rigid amber
    20 china white bar
along with a 40 in the roof.

so far the roof bar is useless as i can tell it was made in mostly flood. hood glare sucks.
but the combo from all 3 on the bumper gives me some good output of near and far distances.

only thing i would change is the duallys. the spot is defiantly a spot and i would like a little wider beam of light. not by much just a little. so if i decide to change ill definitely be looking into these!
