PIAA also makes a very high quality bulb that produces a much better light than oem. Broader beam and it shoots a longer beam.

I should have said whiter colored, not brighter. The higher Kelvin color bulbs tend to burn out quicker than a cooler temperature counterpart.

I do not think the blue tint on many of the bulbs helps the longevity of the bulbs either.

These look great. The color temp is just right. 5000K - 6000K is way too high, but lots of manufacturers seem to go that route, and output suffers.

Looks like PIAA has a 1 year warranty on halogen bulbs. So they last long enough to be out of warranty, but not long enough to be cost effective at $75 a pair.

    stock
a year to a year and a half i think i would be okay with...
why cant they make better light bulbs that last as long as stock?
i read tons of online reviews about the other ones that are all under a year for lifespan...

I don't know about you guys but I find it a hassle changing out my bulbs every year. I'm just waiting for the LED technology to be better for the auotomotive side, it's getting there. I have the LED kit and 11+ months so far so good (knock on wood)

I get tired of dicking around with these lights in general. Factory HID's would make our lives a lot easier.

I'm pretty happy that the 2016 will have projectors. Maybe there's even some new bulb technology in there as a nice surprise.

Yeah factory HIDs would be cool to have on the Tacoma considering your already sending $30K+ on it, ,might as well spend it on something useful.

Amazon has them for $57. That's where I got mine. Anytime you get a brighter bulb the life will be shorter. It's just the nature of the beast. As for halogens theyre about as good as it gets. I have no love for HIDs on a truck.

    Lifetime H4's

I had the 35W version, and I have the 70W version now.

The light output is pathetic except for right in front of the truck. The 35W version burned out after about 10 hours of use.

That sucks. I would prefer LED if they came out with a set that worked really well. The ones I checked out didn't have a good high beam output. Plus they weren't street legal.
