I have a rattling in the dash on my new 2015 DC Tacoma primarily over the glove box area. I can replicate the rattle by pushing or tapping on the top of the dash over or close to the glove box. Is that area accessible from behind the glove box or is the air bag right under that section of dash? Something right directly under the dash top in that area is tapping on something directly below. Thanks for any guidence

If you can replicate I would be inclined to have the dealer look at it. But then again, that may open a whole new can of worms once they start taking it a part.

Yea, I decided against that. I'm already concerned with them replacing the seat covering on the drivers bottom which has frayed around the edges in less than 5000 miles and is wrinkled and loose in the middle. Nope, I don't weigh 300lbs either Lol. They are also suppose to align the tailgate. The seat bottom has me concerned most though? Takes attention to detail and some skill to do that right. I'm going to try the foam wedge between dash and windshield and if it works, get some solid foam backer rod and line that whole area between dash and windshield from passenger side all the way to drivers side so it looks uniform and factory.

Foam wedged between the dash and the windshield shut my super annoying rattle up.

How did you make it look good? My 2015 has a factory foam strip there which is glued to the dash. Once I stuff something down there I will likely ruin the factory stuff. Factory stuff only appears to be there to keep dirt and things out.

Same. Cut a piece of pipe insulation in half. Works amazing.

    Can't even see it.

Same on my 2015, the glove box is off center to the driver's side and rattles on a smooth road under light acceleration. Pushing on the glove box stops it. I'll mess with it later but prefer not to have the dealer tear it apart and make it worse.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Not looking at it... maybe there is a rubber bump stop that can be turned out a bit to tighten it up.

So I tried the foam against the windshield and it made no difference. I find pushing on the top of the dash close to or over the glove box area makes an annoying creaking which translates into a rattle at speed. Is there a way to stuff foam up there from under the dash to keep tension on the dash top and keep it from vibrating up and down without taking the dash all apart. Don't want a worse situation. Its mainly when cold and quiets substantially when warmer. How hard is it to take the EnTune radio out? I could likely get in that way? Thanks

I found that the first round of foam didn't help. Then I doubled up on it and really crammed it in there. It's been silent since then, and that was in the fall.

Cold always made it worse, and this has been the coldest winter on record for us, and it hasn't made a peep all winter.

I doubled up too pushing two 5/8" solid foam backer rods in there. The front of the dash doesn't budge but when cold the center flexes just enough to creak or rattle at speed seems to be right at the edge of the radio area passenger side. I'm pretty sure if I could get some foam up under the dash top it would stop the flex and noise. I just don't want to pull parts that are tight now and create new issues. Sucks to have to do this on new vehicles. never on my Generation 1. Not a peep in that truck for 100000 miles

Where do I go about finding a parts breakdown of the dash area? I cant find a single parts breakdown on the 2015 or even the 14 for that matter. Not even for sale electronically on the net?
