Looks like I'll be here, hopefully. Not sure what I'll be doing. I do need to finish my dual bat setup if I can get another battery in time.

    Hello Everyone,

I'm a long time Tacoma fan but a recent 1st time Tacoma buyer. I found your forum through an awesome Youtube video "Tacoma World - NorCal - Slickrock Trail, CA". If you're willing to put up with a nearly stock Tacoma showing up, I'd love to stop by and meet everyone. Unfortunately I had to miss the recent Hopyard meet up due to work. While I don't plan on doing any mods that day I wouldn't mind getting some info and opinions from experienced owners. Example I can't decide between which after market exhaust/muffler... Aero, Borla, TRD or Flowmaster and no matter how Youtube videos I watch I'd love to hear a few if any in person. Also does anyone have any experience with a US Off Road winch mount bumper? Does it work well? Does it fit/work with a BPF front skid plate etc...

    Michael

You should pm EDDO, he has a US Offroad Winch Bumper. It's a pretty slick setup.

Ahh yess. That video. My video has been getting a lot of hits recently. haha.

But yeah, don't worry, my truck is completely stock too, well with the exception of some sliders and a cap, but whatevs. We don't discriminate but we'll probably make jokes. We do that to everybody, so don't worry. :D

    Welcome aboard. :)

Any 1st gen guys willing to help with a 7th injector install? Also I might install a snorkel if it's here in time.

Jerry, will you be doing any welding for people? I need to modify some ARB mounting brackets but it might better than you're willing to do that day. I will PM you with pictures for your opinion.

*sigh* I moved my truck for street cleaning tonight and I'm back to the same position as when I bought it - P0303 - Cylinder 3 misfire. Looks like the lift, sliders and more will be put on hold while I research (again) a head gasket replacement vs a rebuilt long block.

I don't have much more than hand tools at home and while I have a garage spot, I don't really have room to do an engine rebuild here.

Maybe I'll just take Amtrak and ride my bike there from Martinez to stay inspired through the process.

Welcome and do stop by the meet if you can. I rolled into my first mod day in my stock truck. I had a bunch of help from everyone to get my stereo system installed and i met a lot of great people. Everyone has a ton of knowledge and are always helpful. Just be careful, the mod bug will consume you and you will forever have a hole in your wallet thanks to TW!!!!! You have been warned!!!!!
