I'm in for a Mt. Shasta so long as the IRS gets me my $$$$ in time.

if you can fit it, get a Mt Rainier. I can fit 4 people in there comfortably and fit a queen size air mattress inside the annex part under the stairs that go up to the second floor penthouse :)

I'll have to argue with myself about which tent I would like. The Shasta is my main interest but I'll look at the rainier.

How much more is the Rainier over the Shasta regularly?
I take it it's bigger than the Shasta? How many do each fit?

rainier is 16" longer. comfortable for 3 can squeeze 4 vs shasta is comforable for 2 and can do 3.

if the GB is 30% off
regular is $300 GB is $210 price difference

If you can fit it at $210 price difference its a no brainer to go bigger

    or

you can look at it like this, your truck fits 5 people. can one tent fit everyone in your truck?

    Mt SHasta, yes and no
    Mt Rainier yes and no

Yes: 3 up top and two in a queen air mattress under in the "annex" Guest Suite lol
    No: everyone up top

If you go smaller, you can never get more room.
If you go bigger, you will always have room for spare.

I went bigger, and im glad i did. Last year there was no discussion about size and the Mt Shasta was the #1 seller per Bobby @ CVT. Luckily a situation came up and i was able to move to a larger unit (Mt Shasta>Mt Hood>Mt Rainier) AND Bobby delivered it before my Mid-May deadline.

After using it for last season, i suggest a anti condensation mat and possibly a awning if you can swing it.
