    I would think that as well. Doesn't seem to be the case.


    On a side note, I got a Harmony 700 remote for my home theater. Great little product for $80. Easy setup, customized the hell out of it. Took about 1hour to get it up and running perfect. Works flawlessly.

    I've been wanting a Harmony remote for years. Couldn't justify the price tag though. Logitech makes some great stuff.

    These are great especially if you have someone in the house that doesn't know how to switch input between devices. The programmable macros are perfect remedy for that.

    Been looking into a universal remote for a while. When I got my phone, I programmed it for everything, so now I don't need one. Works without a data connection too, so if I upgrade, I can keep it as a remote :eek:

    Harmony has a version that uses the smart phone app and it hooks up to everyting (nest, xbox1, ps3/4, etc). I got that first but wasn't a fan of the software so I returned it.

    Got the Harmony 700 for $70 shipped. To me $70 for a remote isn't much at all for how easy it is to use and setup. I've got the Sony remote commander when it came out, $400, and it was worth every penny then. Still have it and I still use it and I got it in 1999-2000.

    They have the harmony 500 for $50. No backlit display, not rechargeable was the killing point for me with that remote.

    We just got rid of our cable. We had contour. The remote had the backlit keys. Now it's using our phones at night to see what button is which. Miss it.

    Finally tried out the screen casting to Chromecast. Tried out Angry Birds for a test. Sound would cut out. Then I used the camera.
