What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

First post on here.. Should be picking my truck up in the next week, assuming the dealership is able to find the truck I agreed to terms on with them. Hopefully.. long story there involving a lemon WRX that Subaru will be buying back next week. Speaking of that WRX, I used it to pick up some parts for the truck to be.

weathertech floor mats, front and rear, bed extender and tonneaupro tonneau cover. snatched them off craigslist for $250.

I'm in the Albany area - so not real upstate, but upstate in most people's eyes

Wait a minute, I just realized something. The backing plates behind the factory pads just have tabs at the top to hold them to the pad. The new ones I just put on have tabs on the top and bottom of the plates and clip onto the pads. That may be the fix you're looking for for the pads moving and making noise.

I can see now how the pads could move and make that noise with nothing holding it to keep it from moving around. I did notice also when I put the new pads in with the new plates that came with them that they were a tighter fit too. A new pad set when yours are wore out may be the fix with the new backing plates.

 

Gave it a good bath, does that count? Finally hit above 30 today...

 

Replaced serpentine belt today. No more squeaky belt.

 

Tinted front windows. 35%.

 

I need to do this...I've had the belt sitting here for probably 6+ months

Got 14.2 MPG today's tank. Running too rich and need to take a few pounds off my right foot.

 

Picked up a full set of matching color fender flares off Craigslist in amazing condition for $50

 

4" Maxtrac Spindles in the front and 2" AAL in the rear. I think there's also a coil spacer up front from when I bought it

 

Why keep the spacers? Truck looks good, bloody nose height on the front end though.

 

You wouldn't know anything about that though,
