I've never kept a vehicle long enough to consider one. Economics have me now @ 33,500 miles & 1 year 8 months... longest I ever kept anything

Anyway, can I buy an genuine Toyota warranty cheap?? I saw some old threads with links that were dead... thanks!

I was actually looking into this the other day but found out I already had the 100k bumper to bumper. Thought I turned that down. I however didn't find anything.

He quoted my $865 (1600 MSRP) for 7yr 100k on my Taco 4x4 off-road. It will vary depending on what tier its in. Basically is it 4wheel drive or not.

Cause peeps get bored with it... that's why I keep switching cars all the time too. Though, this time I'm trying to stick to my guns and keep this one as long as I can. That doublecab 4x4 keeps taunting me though

I wonder if they'll extend that deal to Canadians as well... mine's a US truck, and ext. warranty here in .ca is just plain nuts.

It's what Kyouto42 said... Bored. This taco is my 12th new vehicle in 10 years... if I didnt get laid off late in 2008 I would have a new one by now.
Now I've had it a while, I really do like it:)

Latest round of quotes I got from Jerry at Midwest. This is for '09 DC LB PreRunner:

    7-yr/100k/$0 Platinum $789.00
    7-yr/125k/$0 Platinum $1,009.00
    8-yr/125k/$0 Platinum $1,234.00
These are the best I've found so far by a decent margin.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.

    .

    Are those rates on a 4x4 or a 4x2 ??? ... 4x4s are more expensive to warranty

I have 2009 Tacoma, DCSB, TRD, OR, V-6, 4x2 (specs. for warranty pricing) and I need to but an extended warranty .. mine is maybe 8 months old and 7,500 miles and in cherry condition.

Thanks for the reminder to get this.

    SOS

PS ... Normally ... I get a new pickup every year or so ... but I might just keep this one for a while. And an extended warranty (at a good price) would be nice.

IMO Complete waste of $$, my dealer quoted me $1865.00 for 75,000 mile bumper to bumper.

My 2006 4x4 US truck just finished its 3/36.
Before it clicked over I bought the Toyota Platinum 7/100/0 from Troy @ Greenfield for $945.
Signed up for the Toyota Rewards Visa with him and saved another $75.

Before buying anything, I waited till to see what kind of warranty work my 2006 truck needed and it needed a couple of costly repairs not just TSBs.
It certainly didn't give me the reliability of my 1990 & 95 trucks that went well into 200k with nothing but normal maint.

That made the decision for me and if not, its pro-rated or can be sold with the vehicle which helps.
