    Rad. Thanks guys.

Didn't quite get as much done as I'd hoped today...But solid progress was made.

Lopped the pop pin housing off and hung the tire carrier in place.

Got the rub rails welded on, mini headache rack, and most of the welding finished. (This pic was before headache rack went on)

And gave the antenna a place to live. I also made and welded on tabs for the hilift similar to what smkytxn did with his.

I almost managed to get everything to the point that I could drive it to work, but the tail light wiring was giving me problems. So I grabbed to subi and called it a night. My next day off will entail buttoning up the wiring, finishing up the welding, and probably get everything sanded and hopefully primed. If I'm lucky I'll find some time to weld up some rear shock relocation and bolt in some billies...

Yeah I guess I am having trouble seeing how you will do the decking? Anyways starting to look real good. You definitely have some skills with design and fab.

    Thanks fellas.

Decking is 1 full (customized) sheet of 3/4" plywood, with a 1/2" solid wood edge for durability and finishability. I'd love to do HDPE like SMKY did, but that's extremely cost prohibitive... so wood it shall be. Not to mention I wanted to have everything coated with Al's Liner, and given the lubrication properties of HDPE I'm afraid that the liner would just lift off in a single sheet if I were to do that. As far as securing it, I've got a bunch of trailer deck screws that I'll use to secure it down. I've still got to cut the sheetmetal to line the front of the mini headache rack, weld that on (yay sheetmetal!) and fab up the tube rails on the side.

As well as figure out the wiring situation. It's weird, so on the driver's side factory harness, I have signal for turn, tail, and stop lights, but the passenger side isn't getting tail signal. Also weird is when I had my little wiring harness put together, I'd get turn and brake working off the passenger factory wiring, but nothing off of the driver side. So I think rather than trying to adapt to the factory pigtail, I'm going to just splice into it upline from all of that into my own wiring harness with a little trailer box I picked up to translate brake and turn signals into 1 input. This shit is confusing; I thought I had a solution last night and then it ended up not working, so Tuesday I'll go at it fresh and see what comes of it.

Otherwise, my plans of how to mount my CO2 tank aren't going to fit, I don't have the clearance to mount it through the deck like I had hoped, so I might be selling the 15lb tank to get a 10lb tank, it's a good 6" shorter.

Can't wait to see this thing completed. Hopefully we can finally get together wheeling this year.

Any idea what all this will weigh in comparison to the bed? Those Expos must be stiff as hell with no bed on there.

Hopefully this will weigh equal or greater than the stock bed... it's been a bit harsh without the rear bumper on, the stock bed is actually pretty light - not sure on a pound range, but it's pretty easy for my dad and I to remove (which is good, because we've done it like 8 times now). I've got a feeling this is going to still be lighter than the stock bed, but once I get a winch in the rear bumper that'll help the ride quality a bunch.

I'm also ditching the shitty cheap shocks I got for something worth a damn - I had bought some heavily valved shocks originally, they help keep body roll to a minimum, but ride stiff as can be. I'm sure the Bilstein's will improve it.

Hopefully! I know this year is going to be a bit chaotic for me between wheeling the white rim, riding, and I might be racing some more - we'll figure out time for a run! I need to get out before doing WR...

The box and progress is coming out awesome. I know the roll sucked but you definitely are making the most out of it.
