No I never said I hide them.... I just buy more than she knows about... Because then she would have more things like new dyson vacuums. SHe actually likes the last one I brought home and
Said she wants one, guess I'm headed out tomorrow to pick up another.

PS: You're not the Devin on Colorado AR-15 that headed up that ammo group buy that went tits up a couple years ago? Still waiting for that to get hashed out. Glad I 'only' bought $300 worth.

Northern colorado but I'm off most days so I can meet up.
Not me I don't do ar15 forums. I buy my own ammo in enough bulk I don't need group buys. :p

Hopefully I'll be headed up to FC to pick up some skids from RCI sometime next week. If so, I'll take it and pick it up. If you can't wait, sell it to the next guy who shows up. Otherwise I will take it once my skids are done. If you head to Denver/Thornton any time sooner, I'll meet you and take it then.

I have A LOT of ammo. And A LOT of M855. For sale at current market value for anybody interested. :D

The group buy was to test the waters on a manufacturer in Utah. Had a "feeling" when I paid my $300 and why I went down to $300 from $1500. I think it was right around .25/round. This was March/April of 2013. Apparently the shop foreman/manager took a bunch of orders and then took the money and ran. The manufacturer 'supposedly' had no idea this had happened and it's turned into shit storm involving lawyers for our group and others and the Utah district attorney. I doubt I'll ever see my money or ammo.

No biggie. Like I said, I have A LOT of ammo, in many calibers. I invested in lead rather than gold or silver. :D

I can come down to denver or thornton (I'm actually only like 30 min from thornton) today or tomorrow. Tomorrow would work best or after 12 today.

Sucks you got caught up in that man. I had a couple grand in that group buy and got some bad feelings about it and even some supportive news from other forums early on on the location and the dude putting it on seemed super sketch too. In fact, I was the guy in that thread questioning him early on publicly. Someone vouched, I bought in and then sold my share before things got bad. I told the person who bought from me that it was a tremendous risk and I really didn't think he was going to make good on the ammo and the dude still bought a couple grand of 'ammo shares' from me. I PM'd a lot of people on that forum I've known for years and gave them the information I had and I think it was shortly after that that things went tango uniform. Too bad because at the time that was a solid price. Just glad I got out when I did and had a few people thank me that were able to do the same and others tell me later I was right when they didn't believe me. Surprised that dude in UT hasn't turned up dead/missing yet. The firearm community isn't exactly a group you want to fuck with. We're all pretty easy going... just don't give us a reason to put our shiny toys to use if you get my drift.

Edit: just realized this was the trading post and not the BS thread. Sorry for the off topic.

Isn't that just going to lead to you wanting a new Dyson vacuum cleaner? Just trying to figure out the logic here. :D

Icon UCA and Long travel coil overs, OME rear leafs. Currently on the build table is a Bed Rack and front bumper procomp 17 rims with 285 70 17 BFG. afe stage 2 cold air intake, magna-flow 2' pipe from cat back,
Im thinking of selling an ARE contractor topper for a dcsb. Im selling it bc the site I'm on is wrapping up and I rather have a bed rack, then a topper. The topper has side tool boxes that lock and a solid back door. The light on the interior needs to be rewired and I do not have any original mounting hardware. Price is $450 obo and Im willing to come to you if you are between Colorado Springs and Cheyenne. I figured I post here first before moving to Craigslist.

    I haven't heard anything in a while.

Do you think the guy who put the group buy together was involved in the "scam"? Or do you think it was just the production manager for the manufacturer? Or was the manufacturer in on it and this was planned from the get go?

Like I said, I committed to a lot more ammo but go that same gut feeling. I dropped to the minimum buy in to get the ball rolling with this manufacturer. Fortunately, for me, I won't feel the $300 at all. Don't like it but, I'm not hurt by it either. I moved on long ago. Pretty much gave up on my ammo/money when it all started.

My initial feeling was the guy on COAR15 was part of it from the jump. It's been a while now so forget specifics but there were a few things that just didn't sit well with me regarding his relationship w/the shop in UT which he claimed was innocent & relatively new.
