Does Anyone Acually Use the Power Outlet in the Bed????

Most definitely, when camping and fishing (electric razor recharging, water heater pot, air matters pump, etc.)

 

I use it to recharge power tool batteries on the job site.

 

I've added inverters on three different trucks. Under the driver seat is a great location. Just make sure you get one of the correct dimensions, there's only so much room there particularly height. It's really quite easy.

There's a grommet under the seat you run your wiring through under the body to the battery and an extension cord to wherever you want the AC at.

 

When the power goes down , i run an extention cord inside the house to plug some lights, the tv and electronics.

 

Use it to run my air compressor

 

well crap, I never gave it a thought to use it for power tools when working on the truck. I keep forgetting I have it back there! I even have a second 700 watt hard wired and still run extension cables to use electric impact etc... DUH

 

I tried running an air compressor and it didn't put out enough watts, and eventually threw the breaker (truck was idling). I plan on trying the electric hedge trimmers next week. Do y'all keep the truck idling when using the outlet?

 

Dremel, soldering iron, drill, battery chargers...usual stuff.

 

Yes. Battery charger on the job site. Charge phone when I forget my 12v charger. christmas lights, work light, compressor, ect...

 

I use it to power a terrarium warming mat that I keep in my tool box to warm my inverted marking paint spray cans so they are useable in cold weather.

Had to do the 400w anytime mod to be able to warm while driving.

 

I run a dremel tool off of mine at work all the time.

 

Use for B&D hedge trimmer to trim bushes on entry road to my home.

 

Many times , not a lot of power but it can be handy.

 

That's a given.

 

I tried this, but kept popping fuses. Swapped over to a 3.5 HP Briggs and Stratton and its all better now...

 

not as often as I'd like.
