Colorado B.S. Thread

Figured I just put this out here and see what happens...
My wife and I moved here from Texas this past June and are in an apartment in Highlands Ranch. I have no truck work opportunities at this place. I am so use to having a 2 car garage to do things. Anyways I'm wondering if anyone is somewhat close by and could help with a driveway and maybe some mechanical help. I need to pull the wheel/tires, disconnect the front sway bar, drop and replace the front coils and stock bilsteins. I've got a set of OME coils and 5100s to install front and rear. Shouldn't be too hard, the coils are already mounted to the 5100 struts.

I should have all the necessary tools but I do not have a jacks stands or a floor jack.

I would be available and happy to help you in return with any work you are wanting to tackle on your Tacoma. Anyway PM me if you your interested and thanks for looking.

 

You don't need to compress them. I installed my 5100's w/basic hand tools safely.

 

They are set at .85 now and need them dropped down to .0

 

Dude, I don't want to sound rude but you NEED a rear lift with that used kit you picked up. Don't install those 5100's until you get some sort of rear lift!!! The rear 5100s don't provide lift they are just longer shocks. You need either an ADD A LEAF, a new leaf pack or a block in the rear.

 

Are we talking an 1" high in the front or more if I just installed what I have?

 

You will lift the front with the coils and 5100's and then have rake because the rear 5100's don't lift at all. You will also probably be bottoming them out and ruin them but I could be wrong with that statement

Didn't even think about bottoming out the rear 5100s. Guy's forgive my ignorance and realize that up until about 45 days ago I knew absolutely nothing about Tacomas and have learned almost 100% of what I do know from here. I appreciate the input, answers and concerns. Bare with me I'm learning....

 

I now have two sets of aals kicking around in my pile of leafs. Would be happy to help with install too (no compressor needed)
