Why/how would customer satisfaction be marketing hype?

Size, depends on the size of your MAF sensor, performance/gain wise, most likely identical.

Did anyone give him positive rep for finding this thing? Not that it didn't smell like AstroTurfing.

I'll probably buy one, when they're available for the 2.7L.

Not enough stud length to use washers.

I had a couple of aluminum 3/8" spacers laying around. I ran my tap on them and was able to get the clearance I needed. The small bolts barely grab on, but there's just enough room. Ideally, a 3/4" threaded extension would be best. If it becomes bothersome later, I could find some vinyl ones at Lowes and just run a tap on them.

Install went easy. I would have liked to see the o-ring stay in place though. It's a tad small for the groove.

I haven't really been able to test them yet to see if there's any gain in the butt dyno yet. Truck is all stock with a K&N drop in filter.

Just did install. I agree with the previous post. I would like to see the o ring hold in place better. I think it took longer to trim up the engine cover than the actual install.

Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
It's an o ring...lick it and then stick it in the spacer. Holds like a champ with a little spit!

Lol!! I like the way you think :)

To be honest, the O-ring fitment bothers me as well. The only issues we have ever had so far was from people that did not get the O-ring installed properly and ended up with an air leak. The leak caused a check engine light so it was quickly remedied.

Time to make a change to the mold...

I haven't seen it yet but silicone lube usually goes a long way for O-Ring retention.

Parker Hannafin(sp?) makes a kick-ass o-ring lube, for some reason I have a whole tube.

    I have a 2012 Tacoma 4.0 L, this would take a Q1 correct?

How do I set up delivery, the website is still not showing Canada as a destination for delivery.

    Thanks

Correct, Q1 is the proper fitment for your 4.0L Taco.

You will need to send an email to our sales department and Jon will process your order, sorry for the hassle.

No issue, I sent Jon an email.

    Thanks

Quirt, here are pictures of the 2003 Toyota 4Runner with the 4.7 V8 MAF sensor with the Q1 on it. The other MAF is off of my 2004 Toyota Tacoma:

    Thanks for that effort Darryle!

Very similar but different ID and bolt spacing... Looks like its time to get Q5 into production :)

I could not find the answer. Is this compatible with any cold air intake??? Ty

In theory no, it's designed to do the same mathematical changes to the ECU as a cold air intake so if you put the two together then you will be running too lean of an AFR and your ignition timing will be too far advanced.

FYI, a cold air intake makes it's extra power by using a larger diameter intake tube. The larger diameter tube makes the ECU think there is less air entering the engine so it leans it out and advances the ignition timing.
