That's why Ill be doing the monstaliner. Seems to be a lot easier to clean and you can order touch up kits. Not sure it will be touching the bumper yet but it will be on the sliders.

There is that and very true. Was going to mention but, didn't want to sound completely negative in my post. Lord forbid if that stuff starts to peel too, looks like crap.

Not familiar with the product and am sure it will turn out great. Just keep in mind that all of those products fade and dust and dirt will collect in the pores over time.

I wasn't either until my roommate got an 80 series LC. He has been talking about it for a while and I kept saying the same thing :p. Turns out a lot of 80 series owner either do their whole truck or a good portion in it.

Here is a thread with some of them and close ups. Basically hurculiner, raptorliner and all the other DIY have pieces of rubber in it that gives it texture. The texture for this is achieved by a paint roller so it has a similar texture to a wall in your home. Which is pretty easy to clean and is smooth to the touch.

Yep, just sold my series 80 to a friend here on TW recently. I've seen many off road guys do parts, pieces and entire rigs and have used the roll on. In fact, did my 2010 Tacoma sliders with it on my first TW go around.
As long as you know, I'm sure it will turn out great!

Why not just the duplicolor bed liner? Easy as going to any walmart or such and picking up a can to spray

I hate that stuff. Rubbed off after a few days of just getting in and out of the truck.

Man, I wished you guy could pull some kind of a Chip Foose deal on me. You know, steal my truck for 7 days and just Pimp my Taco out! Your products look incredible, looking at the welds and materials you've selected to use just shows that you guys are proud of your work and that is awesome. Your products prove to me that you guys love what you do! Someday, someway, someday....

How necessary are those frame brackets in the sway bar location? I have some relocation kit on there from the lift install and don't have a socket that fits in it. I can get one tomorrow and finish the job just curious about driving around today.

I drove without the extra frame braces for about a week or so and it was fine. Even without them, the bumpers still have 6 attachment points; more than enough for just driving around.

Satin, did you get my PM about the light bar measurements? Just wondering about fitment with other brands aside from Rigid.

Not needed for driving around. Just don't pull on it, winch from it or even jack the truck up on it until you get those brackets in.

Relocate your sway bar to the garage floor. :D

O I never put the sway bar back on haha. I planned to and put the relocation brackets on but couldn't get it in easily and just said screw it. Glad I did :)

So I am having some issues with getting this to fit right. Or maybe my issues is just hybrid probs.

So the initial fit proved less than ideal. The wings of the bumper were far past my fenders and at a negative angle. The directions said to put washers in to adjust tilt so I went and got 10 fender washers. I started with four on each side (pictured below). That seemed to level it out but it doesn't look right from the front. I also didn't force the bottom nut in fear that I might warp the bumper where it mounts.

Should I be tightening the lower nut so the bumper creates an angle? It seems weird to have to stack 4 washers to get it to fit close to level.

The other issue is the bumper looks a bit off from head on. the wings don't follow the body lines (also can be seen below). Is that normal?

Disregard the light color on the paint. I can't tell if its just all the dusty hand prints or my paint isn't even right there. I ran out of paint (3 cans) and that's all wally world had so Ill touch that area up when they restock. O, and that weird bump in the center of the grille at the bottom is due to me not re-installing it correctly :anonymous:. That has been fixed.

I think the other guy got an 05-11 instead of a 12+, but yeah... same difference. Good luck Baby Taco

I don't think so since the 12+ has the grille piece for the updated front end. The instructions are fairly bare. Good enough to get the bumper on but I would have liked some pictures with it to answer some simple questions like the washer one for example.
