That's about what I was looking at and then I decided to shop around. I bought a '15 DCSB, off-road package for $31,500 out the door. I don't have navigation though but for $2000, it was well worth the short drive (12 hours) to Dallas. $31,500 includes tax, title, and etc...out the door!

Don't worry about the purchase price too much. These trucks hold their value. You can buy the truck, drive it around for a year, and literally sell it back for the same price.

I paid $32750 for my 2015 Sport 4WD DCBLB. So the price isn't too far off. As someone else mentioned they hold their value you could trade it in in 2 years and get 28-31k for it. But yes midsize trucks are getting ridiculous. My new sierra last year cost the same and I could of had a similar tundra for $1500 more when I bought my current truck.

There's no such thing as non-negotiable. Tell them you're going to another dealership that does negotiate. Watch them negotiate. ;)

You wouldn't be worried about that extra $2000 you paid plus the interest it cost you that could have been a better profit margin when selling? I value my money more than that.

OP shop around and then play a dealer against another. Just go in with the attitude of buying one for the right price not needing one for what they offer. There is always a dealer out there willing to negotiate. Find a dealer that likes to move volume rather than make it all on a few sales.

Guy looking to offload his 14 got a carmax offer of $30k for his TRD Sport DBCB on another thread here. Reason I bought new was the used were only 1-2k less.

    Is it a small dealer?

Small dealers tend to need to make more on each car/truck sold.

Go on toyota.com and request dealer quotes and see what you come up with. Then email back and forth with different dealers to negotiate.

Hell, the dealer I just got mine from had used trucks with 25k+ miles priced higher than my new one. That, and if you're financing the rates on a new truck are better too.

fwiw, I got nine for $31,800. Only thing it doesn't have is the skid plate.

Invoice is around $31k. Don't forget the dealer gets a 2% hold back on the sale and additional 1% on financing.

With that, dealer cost right at $30.1k. $33.5k gives them $3.3k.

Double check me, I may have built the wrong truck but, here's some supporting info.

That said, it appears to be in the "fair" price range...whatever that is.

see if you can find previous new model years sitting on the lot. I was able to get 5 grand off the sticker out the door with a truck sitting on the lot for a year. I paid a little above 27k for a sport after fees

The end of this month is the end of the fiscal quarter for many dealerships. If you wait two weeks you'll have more leverage.
