I'll do a +1 on that, it was our unofficial anthem for freshmen college year.

I love cartoons as well. Crazy to think that Johnny Bravo, Ed, Edd, and Eddie are 'classics' how.

My friends son is 9 years old and I said looney toons, he had no clue what they were. I said tom and Jerry and showed him the old school ones. He said "Why don't they talk?"

    LOL

My 3 year old and 10 year old mainly watch "daddies" cartoons. Tom n Jerry, Scooby, Capt. Caveman, Jabberjaw, Speed Buggy, Laff a lympics, Looney tunes, etc. Very rarely do they watch any others.

The cartoons over the last ten years or so really are awful!

The only cartoon I've been able to get into in the last 10 years was Batman Beyond and Teen Titans when it first came out. They both had an anime feel to them and were fun.

Other than that, lots of crap on TV today. I don't fucking get Sponge Bob at all. Yet my buddy swears by it.

I would say the last cartoons I really liked was Tailspin and Gargoyles. I have the complete seasons of both of those shows on DVD.

My friend rented warehouse and (illegally) lived in the loft. He had parking space for something like 3 cars!

^ I swear to jeebus you are a gift from the gods for posting all of these. I've been sitting here, not working, watching these and having flash backs of my entire childhood.

Also, I just started watching Sanford and Son again. What a great show!

Edit: I also have all the Gargoyles. I loved the show because a lot of the voice actors were from Star Trek TNG!

Shows, movies and cartoons were (and still IMHO) so badass back then. I find myself more and more everyFUCKINGday watching my 80's/90's movie,tv,cartoon collections.

    I miss those days bigtime.

Gargoyles was a big game changer for cartoons. It had some adult type shit in it and was more serious than any other cartoon.

    This episode was banned:

While pretending to use a gun in “Deadly Force,” Broadway accidentally shoots Elisa and attempts to cover up his crime. Although this episode was initially pulled from the rerun cycle thanks to objections by advisory groups, it was eventually re-aired after editors removed some of the blood from Elisa’s shooting. It has since been added to the DVD collection.
