I am ready for a 3 Inch icon lift that being said what is the best way to do it?
Let me explain! I want the icon lift but I see that guys are buying different leaf springs and Uca,s. Are icons springs and ucas not as good as others ? What's the deal are they better or is it cheaper? Should I buy everything separate? Do I get the front resis or just the rear? I see guys buying the total chaos or camburg uca,s. I see guys buy the all pro or Dakar leafs. What do I do for the best 3" setup? Input please thanks!:confused:

Icon stuff is awesome, but there arms are kinda spendy almost any aftermarket arm will be alot better than stock and allow for proper alignment, with that being said I went with icon everything except uca's i got procomp unibals and they look every bit as nice as anything else and include covers for the unibal, and they were cheaper than LR.

Do get the extended version though.

    I like my Icon coilovers.

I choose SPC UCAs because they have ball-joints. I tend to play around near the ocean a lot and did not want to deal with uni-ball UCAs.

I choose allpro expo leaf springs because carry a lot of weight in the bed and I got a hell of a deal on them.

I hope my opinion on why I choose what I did helps.

Ya it sucks though because if I get the Icon package without the leaf springs you don't get the rear resis

Go with the 3 leaf progressive leaf pack from Icon. It is designed for the 2.0 resi or non resi shocks.

The valving of Icon rear shocks does not match Dakar springs. They are valved to match Icon's own 3 leaf progressive AAL. If you want Dakars with Icon shocks you have to get them revalved.

Downsouth Motorsports can revalve new Icon shocks before shipping them if you tell them what leafs you will be using.

Lots of people use standard off the shelf Icon shocks with Dakar leafs and don't realize how they are selling themselves short.

stuff that makes it better for my use...
I went with the icons all the way around with the CDC valves and expo springs in the rear they simply re-valve them at icon just make sure you tell them what you plan is & make sure you really add weight to the rear before you make the dive into rear springs or you might be disappointed in the stiff ride.
"I have a longbed with a shell & daily I carry roughly 300 lbs in the bed and the springs do not sag at all, it still stink bugs with a 3" lift. I'm guessing in total thats about 500lbs."
Here is a bit of info, good luck.

What's the difference between the extended front shocks compared to the not. Will you get more lift out of them or more travel
