Its Friday for me too.

 

It went from slow to crazy busy here. Of course I didn't sleep before work tonight (I flip to day schedule on weekends so I can get some good sleep) so I'm dragging a bit. Lunch is coming up though so I'll go sack out for an hour in the wellness room here.

 

Got all the work that needs to be done tonight done Crossing my fingers for no fire alarm. Small leak in one of the sprinkler system supplies. If it bursts it'll be a mess!

 

Hope all are well. Middle of my two day break ... Went to sleep around 10 PM, wide awake at 1:45 AM Watching a movie and I'll try for a couple hours nap before daybreak.

 

Hi, Rob what was the final total for your last snowfall? Ours is melting fast, it'll be gone in a couple more days.
When your at home on your day off, how do you keep from waking your wife (significant other) in the middle of the night? That question is for anybody.

 

Thu-Sat total was 0.36 inch precip; most of which was rain from Palmer south. They got snow a little north of here, but I don't think it amounted to much.

I try not to wake her, but I'm not always successful. She's gotten good at rolling over and going back to sleep. She likes me working nights because I'm significantly less stressed about work stuff than I was when I was running the op center on active duty. It's a trade off I guess.

 

I just pay mine and they go home.

 

Pssssh, I just start talking ultra-nerdy and they go home without me paying them. .

 

Take it from an old pro. Never settle.

Well most women don't like me so I might just be single the rest of my life. I'm getting used to the idea. Could be worse though, most of my friends are older (late 30's to early 50's) and I've heard some gnarly divorce stories. A couple good marriages in the bunch too, but not as many as the divorces.

I'm coming to think women don't know what they want when they're in their mid to late 20's. But ah well.

The one with the most toys when they die wins right?

 

Hit the 1AM wake up wall again. Back on shift Tuesday night, so it works. Hope all are well.

Much better tonight. Had to play amateur plumber earlier, we have a licensed plumber on staff, but he is way to busy to worry about snaking a drain

 

I hate home plumbing. Just something about it is annoying.

Now putting a watercooling system on my computer, that was fun plumbing.
