I'm curious about this run. I've done the loop out to Castle Hot Springs, but have never gone north to make the run to CK. I want to do the big loop up there and pick up the 17 to come south, but I'm unsure of the road conditions further north than the lake. Should I even attempt it with a locked prerunner?

    Thanks guys

I wouldnt do it in a prerunner. Last time I was there, the road was a 4x4 only.

Thats what I was curious about, I've seen ratings of 4x4 only, but I wanted to hear it from someone who knew what our tacos are capable of.

Man, the temptation to build a 4x4 trail rig is bad.

You can do it in a Prerunner if you have a lift, and good tires, and some 4x4's to get you up the tough stuff.

Plan on it taking you awhile. I have done that run several times but, we where all in Polaris Razers/Rangers. It is a fun trail though. Crown King is always a blast as well.

I'm running brand new (last week) 265/75 BFG AT's. And if I did attempt it, I would not be going solo. Anyways, I'll probably just be content with exploring the low country and having my fun on the sissy trails, lol.

I may be new to the trail, but not to the dirt

Don't go unless you're 4x4 with armor, or locked 2WD with a buddy with 4x4 or winch to "carry you up"
