    Yeah, pretty decent ice dam, supposed to be in the forties here for the next few days. The house is 8 years old, hopefully no permanent damage. I'm kind of new to these one story houses, I've always lived in places with a pretty steep pitched roof, never worried about the ice buildup. The folks around here who offer roof clearing want an arm and a leg, plus your first born son to get the snow off your roof. I've noticed quite a few houses with ladders left out to the roof all winter. I guess they go up there and shovel when it snows. I'll be honest, I'm too nervous and old to get up on the roof and shovel snow! I guess if I have any permanent damage I'll have to look into having someone shovel the roof next winter. It is 30 here today. I used the snow blower on the driveway and walkway, then needed to shovel off the porch and put down some salt. I shoveled in just a tee shirt and jeans, 30 felt really nice with the sun out. Won't be long before I can get the bikes out of hibernation, they miss me.;)

    The two pantries will become the coat closet. One side for winter and the other for spring/fall. Now there still may be room for a wine rack in the old coat closet but I will not determine the use of the closet till the new kitchen is up and put back together. I would like to see it become the house cleaning closet.
