I bought parts to start working on my electrical. My long-term plan is the "Big 3" upgrade, 250A alternator, fuse/relay blocks, lights, compressor, radios, and stereo/amps. I'm starting at the source. So to get things setup to handle all this, I bought parts for "Big 3" and 250A alternator.

At full wheel turn they rub a tiny bit on those little flaps in front. Not a big deal except in reverse it wants to catch it and rip it off. I'll have to take them off or cut them shorter.

I was also wondering where he got them. +1 on Jumpers reverse LEDs. Much brighter than stock. I swapped every light on my truck with Jumpers including the DTRL/turn signal switchback mod.

While I'm here... In the past week I also installed the Relentless Off-road Fabrication hood hinge light/CB mounts on both sides of the hood. I also installed KB Voodoo's Powder Coated Tailgate Cap System. Today I ordered my front and rear seat covers from the Wet Okole group buy. In the next couple days I will order my PrInSu Roof Rack + Heretic Studios light bar. My truck loves this forum -but my wallet does not. :D

there is more highway noise but that's a given due to the more aggressive tread than stock AT tires. I have a pretty quiet, mellow magnaflow exhaust and the hum is about the same volume, combined with average highway noise for our trucks and a radio going at a reasonable volume that you can still have a conversation, I'd say the noise is negligible.

I'm at 59,1xx miles right now so we'll see how they hold up. I'm surprised at the life of the stock tires, but my commute is 99% highway.

They've handled well in the rain so far today, time will tell.

After watching the new 2016 pics and hearing the guys talk about the new truck they did not say they were going to do anything to the 4 cylinder engine so I decided to just keep what I got.

I think the best part about all my upgrades as that I got everything used on Tacoma World. Thanks everybody!

Here is what I have done:

    - Leer shell
    - Yakima Racks (Craigslist)
    - LED tail lights
    - tow hook TRD in front
    - New headlights (courtesy of Toyota)
    - Seat covers
    - Pioneer head unit 5500 with Blue Tooth, best thing ever
    - New shift knob ( ebay)
    - all white grill
    - steering wheel cover (from auto parts store)
    - LED lights inside the truck

    Here are the pics:

Will this play itunes music? I remember back in the day not being able to play itunes music on old mp3 players. This would be awesome instead of always disconnecting and hiding my ipod when I park.

There are a couple options. CBI is the only ones I've seen that mount where they do.. the others I've looked at are fastened to the underside of the hood at the hinge. As an example, relentless has them here

I found famous fab on here. But it didn't look like they made anything in a while, and never returned my pm. Theirs mounted between the hood and the hinge, where cbi mounts to where the hinge meets the doghouse. Cbi was half the price too.

Doing 25 around a corner on a dirt road in the rain, even if it's a long corner, is a bad idea. Especially in 2wd and the front end looses grip and you understeer right into the ditch. That's the lesson I learned today. Strangely enough my dad wrecked his taco in the same EXACT spot towing a trailer. The same EXACT way. Any suggestions on the best way to fix this?

Well, I'm not going to scratch the powder coating off to see if it's 18k gold. I got the Warn shackle and Daystar kit from Amazon Prime. Red costs more than black. The titanium bolts were $25 each on-line. I figured $200 for a hook I'll probably never use was enough.
