Owner of a 2003 Tacoma extended cab. V6 5-manual. Has TRD package but no TRD decals. Front/back bumpers and door handles painted to match truck, black grill. Does have the chrome SR5 emblem.

TRD have rear locking diffs, thats the easiest way to check.
    TRD can be SR5 too

TRD is an add-on of the SR5 package.

Mine is a TRD with all the SR5 goodies, my entire truck was black sand pearl color matched.

Look on the dash for Rear locker button to the left of the steering wheel, that will mean its a true TRD with rear locker.

Also it came with beefier bilstien yellow and blue shocks and struts from Toyota.

    Taco me Elmo is right.

You are either missing TRD stickers and badges or someone put a locking rearend in your truck.

you definitely have the SR5 color-matched option. TRD decals are easy to remove, no biggie. they either broke or damaged the color-match grill that was there, easily replaced with unpainted black grill. SR5 emblems are on 90% of Tacos :)

If you have this then it's a TRD OffRoad package. If not then :notsure:

Pretty much what everyone's said before, look for the rear diff lock button and you've got a TRD

Probably not too many changes between 2003 and 2004, for which the Toyota propaganda is attached.

My sr5 package consists of sr5 emblems. I haven't seen a vehicle built since the 70s that has as few options as this "upgrade".

I'm guessing the standard taco doesn't have an engine or wheels.

Allpro skids, Rigid duallys President McKinley CB with PA Recaro SRD with Wedge Engineering Morimoto retrofits Champion Rad - Failed Tundra brakes
These help more than anything as I have an 03 DCSB 4X4 V6 Auto but with a ton of aftermarket goodies added by the prior owner.

It looks like mine is (based on the PDF for the 2004):
    Super White
TRD with the locking diff, flares, graphics
Convenience Package (black power mirrors, remote, door trimmed fabric, cruise, sliding rear window)
SR5 Chrome Package (chrome grille surround, white faced gauges, digital clock, tilt, windshield washer, lovely everything stereo with 6 Speakers)

My ignorance is showing as I thought all dcsb came this way...
