...and go back to stock. Sounds great on the outside, soods good on the inside (vids/review in my sig). Dunno. Its my first aftermarket exhaust, and man I just cant get used to the change inside the cabin. Maybe Im becoming an old man...but I just want it to be quiet inside, and even though the outside sounds so damn good...Im never out there to enjoy it!

Back to stock methinks. Maybe Ill research a different kit some other time...who knows.

I'm only 22, but when I was 17-19 I wanted an exhaust on my cars. Something changed and I just enjoy the quiet sound, and it allows me to appreciate the sound system. Exhausts grab attention, sometimes unwanted (police). I think everyone goes through or hit the stage where they don't want exhausts.

time to putdown some fatmat/dynamat/LL/etc on the interior and have the best of both. Loud exhaust outside... like a parked caddy on the inside

LOL - I'm in my late 50's and I can't wait to get a Magnaflow on mine! I'd already have one but I've got the crew cab - long bed and they don't make one "yet."

Well...its off. :) And I gotta say, Im glad I removed it. Its personal preference, and I totally understand why people like the aftermarket exhaust. I guess I just prefer it to be quite a bit more quiet in the cab.

Viper - really - do you recall what model number it was?

    I found the M/F - 16625 - but turns out its for the 4dr - short bed.

I did get a e-mail back from Magnaflow tech line with the specs and it's exactly 12" different. I read in a post just above they send a extra piece (assuming this is the 12" piece) to make up the difference.

So last question, who did you order it through?

    Thanks a ton - Larry

I listened to your in-cab clip and your right it did sound loud in there. Almost like it was droning out the interior.

I don't have the info handy at work. The install was custom though. I will check paperwork at home and see if I can find a model #.

Thanks, if I don't respond - I appreciate it - going to be out of the office for the rest of the week - but will try to log on and keep up.

Yeh I prefer the single exhaust (my son has one on his full size chev and it sounds good!) - looks like from the specs sent to me from Magnaflow - from the CAT back it's 2.5" then from the muffler on back it jumps up to 3" all the way back.

Thanks again for your time - Larry

Get what you want, obviously. Nothing wrong with a quiet exhaust.

I think here in SC it's the law that you must have a loud exhaust. If trucks with loud exhausts attracted cops here, they wouldn't have time for any real crimes.

Wel I am not the only one getting old!

I installed a CAI and drove with it for a couple of days and yanked it off. I could not believe how loud it was.

Next thing you know you will find blue blocekrs superior to your oalkeys because they block more light out. I am not there yet, but close..
