    Andrew,
Were most/all of the frame welds with a stick/arc welder? What about doing the side panels and the frame on that?

All welds were done with my Lincoln 140HD. All the frame welds were done with flux core, the last little bit was MIG after I bought my argon/CO2 bottle.

How does the track match the jeep? Is it pretty spot on, narrower, wider, etc?

It's narrower by around 3 inches total. That's the closest I could get with the axle lengths that were available.

Ok, just curious. I think I am a little wider than you. I am running spydertrax 1.25" spacers so...

I am debatimg on if I want to build my own frame or pick up a surplus military trailer to start from.

The material for a frame should be in the neighborhood of $500.

The weekend before last, I tackled the inverter/power supply in the tongue box.

To recap, the tongue box has around half portioned off for an AGM battery and 1000 watt inverter with 120 volt outlets, along with switches for lights and accessories, and 12v outlets. Here's a pic of the completed electrical panel. All switches still need to be labeled :)

The panel consists of a duplex 120v outlet, two 12 volt automotive outlets, a 12 volt automotive voltage gauge (with momentary push-button switch) for checking battery voltage, non-momentary push button switch for turning on the inverter, with an LED panel lamp to indicate inverter is on, 12 volt computer fan to cool the inverter inside the panel, and several other non-momentary push button switches for other accessories (rock lights, cargo lights etc).

EDIT- forgot to mention, but the voltage gauge has a switchable backlight and the panel is lit with a short piece of blue LED strip I had laying around that is stuck under the front lip of the box.

This is how she looks right now. All that's left to do is the RTT rack and the tent and she will be good to go!

That box is amazing, especially considering the price. I have one on my car hauler trailer and abuse the shit out of it.

Andrew, what are the dimensions of the box on your trailer, LxWxH (box height, without lid)?

Also, other the secure mounting to the box, why did you put the tire between the box and toolbox? Any other locations you were thinking about?

I'll measure the box in the morning and text you the dimensions :)

I mounted it there to help with the tongue weight, as it wasn't heavy enough at the time and it caused some stability issues. Plus it was unused space.
