17" Konig Six Shooters with 265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers. Paint matched emblems, JL Audio, Focal & Recurve EZQ. Coming this week: Snugtop XTR, Fox 2.5 front at 1.75" and 2.0 rear and ICON AAL.
Thanks! I'll have some more pics in a week after I get my Fox 2.5s and Snugtop XTR put on.

Stealthbox fit perfectly but requires a couple of holes to be drilled for the top brackets. The fit is perfect!

I paid around $1500 for the speakers, ********* mounts, JL Stealthbox and EZQ. I already had the amp so depending on what you want to run that cost can very greatly. My amp (M700/5) sells on JL Audio for $600. So a little over $2100 for equipment.

I did not do the install myself (I normally would) because I'm leaving for Afghanistan soon and that's two days I'd rather spend with my wife and son.

The installation was done by a guy some consider one of the best installers in the Sacramento area (opinions vary of course). I've seen a lot of installs and systems and I can say this is top-notch work.

That's a nice set up. I had that same sub, but in a different enclosure and that same amp. Sounds awesome.

Pretty nice setup man. I'd like to hear something like that someday.

No, I meant a 2-3" thick foam gasket to seal the area between the speaker and the speaker grill on the door panel.

And you were responding to Ranger, in regards to your words on the head unit having a poor response. Ranger has a Pioneer NEX receiver.

Sorry guys i should have mentioned that i also have sound deadener installed in all 4 doors and the rear panel. Its all from sounddeadnershowdown.com, which is said to be some of the best deadener available (up for debate of course). My only thought is that i might need a EQ of sorts, but i am really not a fan of the "throw money at it till it works" technique!!! I have a hard time believing it will solve all my problems, seems like there is something else going on here, so any other advice is hugely appreciated.

I spent like 3500 on this stereo (Nex receiver, alpine PDX 5 channel amp, focal flax speakers, ********* ported 12" sub, kicker wiring, sound deadening, and it sounds as good as my old 1500 stereo, maybe even worse. flat punchy bass, rather tinny highs, definitely not full sound like i expected. Ive ensured the sub and speakers are not overpowered using a multimeter to calculate wattage, and spent hours tuning at the amp and deck.

PS sorry to thread jack a bit, but it seems like there are some people in this thread that know whats up.

Ooh... I hadn't thought of doing that...

Ranger, definitely try some EQ, even if you start with a crappy $25 one just to see. It made a huge difference in my system and you have much higher quality components than I do. I went the cheap route with a miniDSP and their DC isolator, and used a USB measurement mic with Room EQ Wizard. Took a couple hours but once I got it dialed in, it was a huge improvement.

Any suggestions on a decent but cheap EQ anyone? I knew i would end up getting one... ha!

Also, has anyone been able to put an EQ where the emergercy flasher/clock/seatbelt unit is right under the radio? Ive always thought it would be sweet to have some eq dials right there.....

Well, the cheap analog one I suggested would work, there are loads on Amazon. But you'll lose head unit volume control and introduce line noise with it. I suggested you try it out to see what your system COULD sound like, but definitely get something better as a permanent solution.

I would strongly recommend a digital one, the miniDSP I have works very well but requires some tinkering. Ideally you want a parametric EQ, which the miniDSP will do.

So many great post! Ive been working on building a stereo for my taco and was wondering if you could use the ReCurve EZQ Wire Harness System to a bit ten processor? In order not to cut any wires on the stock system

I have the same set up.. Just I have a hiss coming out of the speakers when I turn up the gains on the eqz or even on the amp. I can't get full potential. Not even half without that hiss vein unbearably annoying. How'd he go about doing it?
