2 1/4 showing on the left
1 1/4 showing on the right

Seems odd though that I wouldnt be able to get the BOSS kit back to where I was with the 5100 kit set at .85 though right?

What I mean is, different springs on the billys than the BOSS kit?

What springs did you have on your bilsteins at .85?
How do they compare to the springs that come on the BOSS coilovers?

That could make all the difference in the world.

The shock body is a completely different set up then your billies. And what Eric says is right. If the spring is different then it might have a different spring rate. That being said I thought Toytec was using the same springs on the billy set up and the BOSS set up. So this should not be a varible. And the Springs are new right? So you should be able crank even less. Mine have settled now and I need to crank them a bit more.

Call Doug and ask. When I was there with my warranty replacement he told me not to go over 2"s of exposed thread to maintain proper operation of the shock. I have the 650lb red shocks though.

i wanna say that both my spring rates were 600lb, 600 is in the new BOSS coil numbers and 620 is on the old 5100 coil numbers.

Ive got a message into doug already, they also told me that the new BOSS system has a bunch of threads above where you should be using so i just want to get a definitive answer from him if im ok having them set a 1/4 inch to high or not.

Added a winch and winch mount. Need to raise my BOSS coil overs. How difficult is it to move the rings? Any tips or tricks? I want to raise it about 1.5". They were originally set to .75" so I should have plenty of adjustment to get a total of 2.25".

tip i got from doug and kevin i wanna say his name was is to loosen the lower thread ring, then spray a little WD40 above and below the adjusting ring, it makes it move much easier than just trying to crank on it dry!!

I would have to go measure but I doubt I am that far apart now because my Alcans were built to help Taco lean from the rear so my coil over does not have to try to pick up all that extra load. A real rear leaf pack would help too. Better add that to the list. :D I know EXPOS are side specific and arched higher on the drivers side too.
