The panhard's, or related, function is strictly to inhibit lateral axle movement. As in left to right. This won't help reduce vertical sway. The sway bar, if for the track only is highly useful. Especially when starting from none. Huge reduction in body roll.

Just trying to help ya out. There's much to learn on the track. There's also much to tune on suspension. I thought it was tor, a little more built than you it seems :p . Nonetheless, it wasn't a terrible run. Have you tracked it much?

This is partially false. A panhard will help body roll slightly, by tightening shit up in the suspension. Think about the function of the panhard... if the axle cannot move laterally it'll help keep the axle under the truck perfectly. If there is no panhard the axle will shift slightly causing the center line of the axle to shift causing the weight of the truck to shift. Panhards definitely don't replace sway bars. I'd run both if you need too. They both serve a function. However, a swaybar will be much better than just a panhard.

Better than my quick and easy explanation.

If bolt-on watts link kits weren't so heavy, that would be another option. A custom watts link could be made to though.

What i have been thinking about, and would currently only work if i relocated my gas tank to the bed, is to move the ends of my traction bars (where they attach to the U-bolt plates) inward closer to the center of the diff housing. Almost triangulated, but actually more like a trapezoid. Then the traction bars could perform both axle wrap prevention and lateral movement prevention. Works in my head at least....

Injectors wired in and it is running. Had to give it a jump as these large fuel lines take a while to fill, and the battery was already weak from sitting for 5 days.

Off the bat, these 1300's are a little different that the ID1000's . Besides the size difference. If I was changing from their 750 to 1000, all it would require is adjusting the parameter for the size. Not so much with these new style ID's. So going to have to drop it off at Kozmic for them to pull some fuel out of the idle and cruising cells. Currently, it is idling between 10.8 - 11.2. Super rich. Be it that Bosch was involved with the design of these, we had a feeling there might be a difference. Not a big deal though.

Oil cooler sandwich plate reinstalled, engine oil changed with Redline Oil 5w-50 and ZDDP additive. Now to change the transmission and rear diff. Hopefully I can get the to the ball joints this week as well. Times getting close to race day, and this rainy weather hasn't helped at all.

Yes I have been on a track before never in an offroad truck before and with my track experience I was able to keep it on the track the whole time as fire and rescue does not like the truck on the track due to the chance of a roll over they almost did'nt let me on. I had to show them the traction bars and shocks/mods and even then I got a warning for going sideways on a couple turns so I was limited. The reason I can't go on the inside of the turns is if you were feeling my body roll you would know you were pushing the limit between the all terrain tires and losing traction. I took as tight as the truck would let me I push the thing to its limits on all the turns just to see what it will do before I upgrade the suspension and engine.
Yes his is more built mine only has forged piston rods and piston heads along with a supercharger rebuilt with a 2.55 pulley and methanol injection along with a standalone ecu its to much power for all terrains tires on the street I can burn all four in 4 high in 3rd gear :D

Your lateral movement is much less opposed to mine I really need to change my front struts and sway bars! Also I wish I was in texas so I could just drift around some of those turns haha

I wasn't trying to drift. Lol. Cold tires, and slightly drizzled on track. The rear tires just kept letting loose. The lateral axle shift certainly doesn't help though.

We've found that what limits the movement on my truck and the XRunner, are the sway bar links.

The head of the bolt, where the sway bar attaches to the link, is my contact point. On the XRunner, it is the shaft itself.

    OMG yes!

I had the opportunity to order them in different colors. Due to time crunch before the race, I went with what would take less time. As even then, hurdles still pop up...being prepared for those is paramount. Yellow would have been my choice, to match the coilovers.

Because* ;) They feel very secure on the thighs. That issue of using my knee on the door handle will be alleviated now. However, I feel like I might be in trouble when I start working out again. We'll see what happens when my legs start growing again....

As the race day preparation continues, I have scratched off another item from the punch list. With four more left to be completed.

Body mounts of the cab was the first one. This is one oi f the front most bushings.

    20150317_125728_zpsksgobghk_7773d9ed92f9a692de0854dc7209a4666cd04178.jpg

The larger mounts beneath the doors also had nice cracks around their perimeters.

    20150317_123711_zpsyxfeqfmz_57be0519088c8603fdf6808a7dba832238f0ea93.jpg

This is the rear cab bolt. Both were rusted and required extensive sanding, in order for them to fit into the sleeves. I added a thin layer of grease to them.

Access hole for the rear cab bolt. 2 10mm bolts hold down the cover.

All in all, it wasn't that hard to do. Loosen both sides. Jack up one side carefully. I used a jack and a 4x4 at the body seem.

Currently I am fighting the lower ball joints. What a serious pain. Next will be springs, tires, and seat mounting.

I have a full body mount upgrade kit that's been sitting at the house for months now. I really need to find the time to do that.

Phill and I replaced our lower ball joints this week. By the time we did the fourth one it was a piece of cake. The trick is to get the seat nice and hot and freeze the ball joints overnight.

I purchased it from http://www.energysuspensionparts.com/ It would be the perfect time for them to replace them, while doing the frame.

My problem, stems from the crappy universal ball joint press from AutoZone. :frusty:

The autozone kit doesn't have the correct size adapter. I had to go to advance auto to find a kit with a 2.5" ID receiving cup.
