Yo Mr monte, I know I asked before but forgot the answerer, i'm getting new tires and was thinking of mtrs but remember you said you wouldn't want then in a did, why is that?

 

You are correct and I will still stand by that.

The MTRs are amazing offroad. They are better then the km2s. But they don't wear well and don't last long and are louder and heavier. They also are the worst on ice or super hard pack snow.

The km2s are quieter and last much longer and are better on ice...some how..but if you sipe them they are pretty good. Much better then the MTRs.

Basically, for a dd/weekend warrior. Km2s.

For a dedicated rig. MTRs for sure.

 

Monte! The piece on the tire gate that slides over to spindle that's sticking up from the bumper. Do I paint inside of that?

 

No.

That'll be packed with grease for the bearings. Does it have a grease zert or is it a fully sealed spindle?

 

I believe there is a grease zert in the bag. I'll go check.

 

Yeah there is one of those little nipples for it.

 

Then there will be a small hole for it to go into. It's probably a self tapping one then.

Don't paint the inside.

Yea we do..haha it's funny cause over Christmas my aunt was like, so what you guys just swap parts all the time or what? And we all laughed and said no...then thought about it...haha

Thanks for the input! I had been thinking cooper maxx but they run small so I was going to go with km2s but discount tire is running a sale and they don't have any but has mtrs. Well that puts a kink in it lol.
