Baby can't fit into my xtra cab rear facing. She goes in the passenger seat with airbag off

Exactly. So an FJ is doable. PLUS you have a 4R so you don't necessarily NEED two kid-able vehicles

Same, I've got 3 kids. 11, 8, 4 and they all sit in back together. Only one left in a booster is the 4 yr old. Plenty of room for everyone so far though.

I'll probably end up with a crew cab. The crew max's are so expensive, can't find a decent used one for much less than new. Only things I really want are bucket seats/ shifter in center console/ 5.7l dinosaur killer

I suppose I could make do with a 4.6, I'd want the later version mated to the 6spd though. Still would want buckets/shifter in center console

Kind of do need 2 kid-able vehicles since my wife travels frequently and I need to drop off/pick her up at daycare. Would also be nice to have another vehicle we can take places so we don't have to use the t4r all the time

In late 2012 when I bought my Tacoma I was finding deals on tundra doublecabs for around 2k more than my Tacoma. There always seems to be a ton of incentives for the tundras..

Lol. Guy driving around with a 2.7 thinks he could 'make do' with a 4.6l V8

Bet you wouldn't like the MPG's, though. Although a 2.7 with a lift and big tires probably doesn't do much better than 15 anyway, right?

 point taken. But the dinosaurs died so I could make vroom vroom noises...

I average about 18 when I keep it around 65mph on the highway. Goes down pretty drastically after that according to my calibrated ultra gauge. So wouldn't be much of a difference.
