    Did some "spring cleaning" today.. Took the skids off, sanded the rust and re-painted them; cleaned off the past 4 months of grime/salt, greased all the zerks, did an oil change, cleaned up the engine bay, and cleaned out the bed.

    Discovered this while I was greasing the drive shaft. Rearmost u joint is shot! That would explain the vibes and noise that had been progressively getting worse over the winter

    Are the Spicer u-joints really worth 3x the auto parts store brand? Much beefier? What's with the zerk in the cap on the
    $39 Spicer 5-1510x U-Joint Kit
    Spicer 5-1510x? My oem ones had a 90* zerk in the cross. Any other recommendations? GMB? AC Delco? Parts Master?

    IIRC, I just cut the two wires going to the sensor, tapped them off, and plugged in the pump as per usual. Too much effort trying to make the senor work with a new reservoir for something that I couldn't care less about. There is no connection between the low fluid sensor and the pump, and the light just doesn't turn on. Never saw it come on with the stock reservoir anyways...

    Plug in main 4 wire plug. Connect 2 wire plug to pump. Cut off sensor. Done.

    Exactly what I did. And same here never had any light come on before I did this either. I wonder if they come pre wired but not actually plugged into anything.
