Afternoon all...Bob your life seems great. I've put in for my own retirement for early June, can't wait. I can see sleeping until 8AM, coffee on the front porch and hookin up the Taco to the boat for that fishin thing. Salmon boat you're looking for? Will that be for salmon in the Pacific or river run fish? Sounds like heaven out there.:D

Congratulations, Bob!! That change in lifestyle is looking better and better all the time!!

We ordered the marker to go over Charlie's ashes here at Mighty Mortgage Manor. We bought a similar one for Daisy. The company now also offers a print of the photo that is used on the marker. I absolutely love this photo of Charlie and this is how I will always remember him.

    The marker:

    Question

I'm wanting a handheld gps. I want to be able to map a course on the water for return after dark.
I do NOT WANT to get a new fishfinder. There are some for hunt and fish. However they are quite pricey.
I know there are a lot of hunters and fishermen here.
Suggestion wanted. I'll be doing lots of research but wanted a head start.

    Evening all:
I have several handheld GPS units, but they are older. I think just a basic unit that marks waypoints and routes would do just fine.
The young guy I fish with has some type of GPS on his phone, but I don't have a clue as to what it is, but it works!

Really nice memorial to Charlie Mark; and I mean REALLY NICE! That's awesome.

I think the model GPS I have is a Garmin 176C. It's probably 5-6 yrs old, but it works for us.

Thats awesome. Never seen anything like that. My wife's shelties that they've bred for 35 yrs get cremated into urns. All the rest are buried here in the woods old school.
    Very nice.

Playing plumber today; installed a new kitchen faucet! I forgot how hard it was to take one out and install the new one under the sink and trying to work while contorted in the cabinet!
The old one was leaking at the stem so I installed a new cartridge and that didn't fix the problem--figured it was time for a new one.

:pccoffee:  Hello all ye of gray and great experience.

Mike that tricked-out lawn tractor would be just the thing for those late season mowing jobs. ;)

Carl I hear you on working under sinks. A few years back I started to replace a faucet and ended up replacing two sinks and faucets! I was under the counter in our master bathroom trying to dislodge a crufted-up fastener with a hammer and screwdriver. Screwdriver slipped and cracked the porcelain. Couldn't find a replacement, ended up with two new sinks. At least it made the faucet replacement easy!

Afternoon all... Carl, you did better than me. Last time I "fixed" the leaking kitchen faucet it cost me $BIG BUCKS. Got the leak fixed but then could only get hot water, no cold. Wife insisted on a completely new sink and "might as well do the countertops while we're at it." Now I just call the plumber:D

Saw the back doctor today. The bad news is I have a herniated disc. The good news is it has already started to repair itself. I have 6 weeks of physical therapy ahead of me in the mean time. I talked to the Doctor about the Chiropractor and what I do in the gym. At least I now have a solid plan in place to heal the back and get better.

Yea thats what I do. Try stuffing your ass up in a hall bath lav cabinet, you know hunting cabin size! Damn near cant get shoulders in them. Some are a little wider but they put a divider and have 2 small doors. Wow what a concept. Ive sawed out some in order to get in. Only when the faucet has been leaking thru to cabinet for months and they put a bucket under it after the floor has rotten out! And leave all the nasty crap in there with cob webs and toiletries and such! I just say yea pull that crap out while I go get my tools.

    Rant over
Explains my neck and shoulder issues.

Morning all! Sorry to hear about the back, Tom - but it sounds like therapy will help get o back on track.

I haven't had any new emails from Sandy. Hopefully, we'll get an update this weekend.

I brought Charlie's ashes home - was pleased to find that they now include a plaster cast of a paw print. Also, the vet office included a book called Dog Heaven - really like a kid's book. On the pages, the vets and vet techs all wrote comment about Charlie and offering condolences. Very nice and touching.

Rain here - going to be a washout. Be safe everyone!

    x2 on the back Tom.

I was thinking the same that we'd hopefully get an update this weekend.

    Very nice about Charlie. :)

    Stay dry.

Cold here, single digits and some sub-zero overnight. Supposed to warm up Sunday and maybe some snow. We'll see, very unpredictable Winter up here this year.

    Hope all are well.
