True, true..... gas in europe is taxed sometimes up to 50% (I don't know exact amount and don't feel like lookin). The Euro is a continental currency not from an individual country, therefore the valuation "should" be diff when compaired to other nations. If mexico would get off it's ass and join the rest of North America we would have an even stronger economy (we would be Canada, US and Mexico) than the EU. Just my opinion no fact or information to back my rant.

Well i got to say some things about this man, first, US doesn't consider Mexico part of North America, most Americans think of us like central America, and well our economy its way too dependable of the US economy, if US catch a cold, we get pneumonia, the Free trade treaty with Canada and US in most of its areas has brought many problems down here, but i know for a fact thats the way it is....

Come to NJ? I was born, raised, and lived the first 29 years of my life in the Peoples Republic until I moved here in '00. Just about my entire family lives there, my aunt and my cousins are teachers, and I'll be driving up there in 3 weeks. I'll put it this way: My property tax was $469 this year which would be about $4500 in NJ. All I can tell you is, MOVE. It's the best thing I've ever done.

I hear you on the partying. Can't really rip too much on a society that likes to party. I've never been to Spain but I have been to France and I would venture to say France is even worse in regard to taxes, society, etc.

$469 a year??!?!?!?!?! are u sure on this??? is like ten folds in NJ!!!!
NJ is getting out of control!!! I can't stand it anymore, they should bomb this state and re-build a new. Also add polictians with common sense that helps people not to f them over

I dont know if I can find jobs in SC... here it pays pretty good

Tacomas will continue to hold their value as gas rises in price. We have the best of both worlds for trucks...efficient AND capable, not to mention affordable.

I was at the local Ford dealership last week and they said they couldn't give their trucks away. They had one there that was exactly the same as the one I sold in February but a year newer. It was priced a thousand dollars less than what I got for mine.

The local Toyota dealership can't keep used Tacos on their lot, they sell as soon as they arrive.

Yea that guy is Carlos Slim..... the thing is exactly that, how do you explain a Country in ehich are 40 million in extreme poverty and a the richest man.... the wealth distribution is all wrong, because its a damn mafia.... The rich guy gets richer, the poor guy gets poorer and us who are in the middle struggle to go up and not fall down, but its impossible because taxation its a bitch.... its not that we don't want our economy to be good, its just the normal regular citizen who pays taxes and works honestly cant save money to invest and create more jobs.... whewww it could go on and on....:(

Edit: I forgot to add, that guys is rich, because he is an opportunist, we have the highest rates in all telecoms phone, cells, and that guy can charge whatever he wants for a minute of a call.... and there is no law that forbid him to do it....

^I don't disagree with what you say but I have to jump in here. Some of the things you are saying are not only socialist but creeping up on Marxist. Why shouldn't someone who owns a company charge what he wants? Companies are in business to make money for owners which includes the stockholders. It's sort of like folks who whine about the "big bad oil companies". Do they not know that over 40% of oil company stock is held in pension plans and mutual funds?

I don't know, man. I'm not even going to try to understand Mexico but one thing I do know is that socialism is a failed concept. For proof look at your tax rate and you can see it doesn't work for the "little guy".

^ Mexico its not socialist, and i am not a socialist or communist my friend, in fact i don't believe in that, nor i believe in neo-liberalism, i just think there has to be balance in everything, i do understand that business are meant to make money, and about the taxes, its all messed up.... big companies elude a lot of taxes with their legal stuff and they are granted with exclusions and stuff.... but common mid class citizens pay a lot of taxes....

you have to admit latin america is the new "hot bed" of socialism. What I was saying is mexico needs to fix its self, that means controlling crime and getting rid of dirty corrupt officials.

Man on Fire was an awesome movie..... <--- even more off topic:D

I'm not calling you socialist. That's why I said that I won't even begin to pretend I have a clue what's going on there. You're the one that lives there, you tell me. I do agree with balance and your government should certainly come up with a more fair tax system (a Fairtax.org system?). Obviously, something's wrong in Mexico or your number 2 import wouldn't be cash from your ex-patriots in the US. I do know that corruption is rampant there and that has to change before you get anywhere.
