that's what I figured :/ guess i'll just have to carefully plan what RX 1 and RX 2 are bound to, and hope I don't feel the urge to operate two from as single remote at once.

You can't operate 2 at once from one t/x, if you have the urge to run 2 that are both bound to one t/x your gonna have to swap out the r/x to another remote. :/ I have all mine on my dx4s, if my girl really wanted to get into it more then once in awhile I'll buy her her own and bind all hers to her own remote. Haha

I know I can't run two at once off of a single remote. miscommunication.

what I meant was, say my summit, twin hammers, and the B4.2 are on remote 1. the crawler, jato, and my boats are on remote 2. I'd better not ever want to run the summit and twin hammers at once, or two boats at once. if I find that I am frequently wanting to run the summit and hammers at the same time, one of them needs to switch over to the other transmitter.

I'd really just like to build Alexis a wraith/yeti, or get her a stock summit. something that is pretty well rounded/versatile, but she's not quite into it enough yet to need her own truck.

Yep you got it. Iv always ran by myself so never really had the need or want to run 2 at once, I just take whatever rigs and use one then swap modes to the next rig and so on.

I love running with a group of RCs, but it's always other guys who bring theirs on wheeling trips. first time that I've ever wanted to run two of mine at once.

New tires for the twin hammers. pretty large for a 1.9, but I think I can make them work.

    old vs new

Lookin' good! do you have to re-grear for the taller tires?

not sure. haven't had a chance to run it yet.

it's on stock, brushed motor gearing, with a brushless motor, and a very light truck for a 1/10 scale-ish truck. so I think the motor will be just fine, however, I doubt these tires will handle that top speed even remotely well, in which case, I might as well re-gear and get a little more acceleration and better 1st gear crawling

I use thinned out fasmask liquid mask and i brush on about 4-5 coats. i've been wanting to buy a cheap gun from harbor freight to spray it on though.

The body is from a baywatch beach patrol tuck model 1/20. I had to trim the bed back for the wheels to align up. Pain in the butt model though as far as the body parts.

Wow, just discovered this thread...looks like I have a lot of reading to do...
I have a Traxxas Summit 1/10, mostly stock, except for single steering servo conversion. Sorta new to the hobby...

Edit: Soon as I posted this, I remembered some other parts I've swapped - aluminum toe links, and push rods, and tighter springs

I have some plans, but funding is my wall right now. I have a New Bright Hummer 1/6 scale, completely disassembled, working on repainting it right now. Seriously considering extending the Summit chassis to fit the hummer body and make it more scale looking, rather than sqaure-ish. Love the Summit, tons of fun, but the wheel base is just too short. Anyone have thoughts on extending the chassis?

Also, want to get some true beadlocks and some nice tires, but again, low on funds, too many other things going on in life right now.

Welcome to the RC thread! a few of us have summits, all varying in levels of modification and intended purpose.

there are a couple of good chassis extension builds on the main RC forums.

    Opinions on a micro.

I'm thing about a Traxxas Teton but I want thoughts on any other micro I could fit into a shoebox.

If you wanted something small like that I would recommend the Losi mini 8ight Truggy or buggy. They are small but come with a brushless motor and will be much faster than the Teton.

Edit: It is 1/14 scale compared to the teton being 1/18. So the losi is a tad bigger not much at all.

I'm leaning towards a Traxxas Teton now. I've got the two SCX10 rigs and want something smaller.

    Opinions on a micro rig?
