    Thanks!
Thanks! I designed the whole thing around the light bar being in that position.
Thank you! Well I started it Feb 27th and worked on it here and there after work. I'd guess I'd have somewhere around 24hrs invested in it. If I knew what I was doing in sure it would have been quicker. The whole thing was a learning experience.

Spicer U-joints are well worth the money, prolly the strongest out there.

U-joints with the zerk in the cap are stronger than U-joints with the zerk in the cross.

The hole in the cross is essentially a factory fracture point when the u-joint is subjected to high torque. Cross drilled zerk U-joints actually have a direction they are designed to rotate or they will break prematurely. Not many are aware of this.

Question. So far for my truck, I have done:

    -5100s/Eibach in front
-5100s rear with Wheelers 1.5 progressive AAL with overload left in for total of 2in.
    -LR UCAs
-New steering rack with energy suspension bushings
    -wheels 16x8 0 offset with 4.5bs
-265/75R16 Hankook Dynapro ATM (got these before the lift and its only got bout 2k mi) so pretty much brand new. Idk if i can get new tires any time soon.
-Will be doing boot slide mod this weekend if parts come in tomorrow. if not maybe next weekend.
    -rear diff breather relocated.

I know getting 285/75 or 255/85 would be a lot better for wheeling than my current size. but since my tires are pretty much brand new I cant see myself buying new tires unless I can break even. Highly doubtful.

With that said, what do you guys think would be a next good mod? I'm open diff. Would prob be saving $$ and next mod wouldnt be for a few months. Just trying to get an idea of what I should be saving for? Powertrax No Slip? Lockrite? Bumper? Sliders? Skid plate?

I'd say sliders and skids. You will most likely need them before a locker. Open open still gets you out of a lot of stuff

    skids and sliders for sure.

I have used my locker 3-4 in 5+ years however I have dents under my cab from no sliders.

Open area wheeling like dunes and desert are my playground not rock crawling so 4x4 and open is totally fine for me.

Also my rear locker is anytime mod with grey wire not limited to 4 low like stock.

Guess skids will be my next add on then. Waiting to see how the new RAT skids are. Or do you guys have any recommendations? I was hoping for a shop local to socal that will carry 1st gen skids. I know Demello makes sliders and theyre prob bout 30min from me.

    Agreed on the sliders/skids.

Even when "rock crawling" at Rausch Creek I have used my locker only a handful of times. I have needed to use my locker more in the NJ pines where the sandy/clay hill climbs get rutted out and I have a tire spinning in the air vs in the rocks.

Also if you have stock skids I definitely would prioritize sliders over skids. I ran my stock one for quite a bit before I upgraded.

I have the front stock skid only. Missing the second portion of the skid that covers the steering rack.

Damn it!! Maybe I'll drop the skid this weekend and give it another go. Its a pain in the ass taking the skids off

Also, any issues extending the wire? Looks like my wire wouldn't reach that far without having to extend it?

Thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate it :)

ahh yes!! I was on my phone last night so I couldn't really see that good. That and the whiskey was kickin in

Cut off the old frame caps, welded in some new 3/16 iron and painted it up. No pics of the finished product. Not much to see, just some plates welded to the end with a nut tacked on back. First time fabricating anything for this truck.

I put a Smittybuilt Gen 2 XRC 9500lb winch in and reclocked the motor and clutch for a better position to wire up and to reach the clutch handle. 20150306_160121_zpsiwd13vuw_7f5b1eea93d627810e7bbd5dd52159550e7873c5.jpg20150307_182030_zpsgzforljo_3e5b0a99e48b209339ec5f17ccacfed605350e2b.jpg
