No harm IMO. Just tell the guy a local contacted you and has the cash, and saves you the trouble of shipping it. I think anybody would take that deal, don't feel bad about it. Cash is king.

Your sale, your rules. I would always take a local deal over shipping, especially to someone I don't know. I pissed a guy off with my stock leaf springs. I didn't know him and he had no posts. He was in Texas. I was on my way to get a shipping quote when a local guy said he'd be here in an hour. I much preferred the easier deal. He might not have been the happiest, but understood and so would I.

    Just my two cents...

Haha that's what I thought but the nice guy in me brings out the guilt. I've definitely been screwed over in the past by people not sticking to their commitments but I really hate shipping items worth 3k...

Another question for you guys: I have 20% tint on my front windows to match the rear, am I going to be pulled over for it or should i be okay with Washington plates?

Depends on where you are. Placer county has a zero tolerance for tinted windows/no front license plate.

I've had 20% on my fronts since I bought my 2013, and I travel regularly all over the Bay Area and haven't had any issues. I also have no front plate.

I was hit up in Elk Grove for having tint. It was two shades lighter than the rear. This motorcycle cop fell outta my bed to stop me only for the tint. What made it worse is that he apologized for writing a tint ticket.

He still gave you a ticket and said he was sorry? Do you think with out of state plates they will be easier on me or harder? I think of it as either "he's from out of state oh well ill let him go" or "he's from out of state he should know better"

Have 15% tint. Got pulled over and given a ticket twice in 4 months in santa rosa:mad: Had the same tint on my f350 crew cab and never got pulled over for the 8 years I had it while living in tahoe.
Guess it just depends if the cop feels like messing with ya

My buddy's tacoma had Oklahoma plates and was stopped for tint. Cop asked if it was legal in OK, and let him go. Week later at the same location he was pulled over again by a diff cop and was written for tint. Buddy made same argument and the cop said explain it to the judge. Burn
