Hey fellow NSer's.. Got a question regarding my schedule maintenance and if anyone else faced this problem. I currently have 11,000km's on my 2013, my dealership wants to flush fluids and replace spark plugs on my expense of course according to warranty recommendations. This seems pathetic for a new truck with only 11000km's on it, money grab IMO.

That does seem early for an entire fluid flush. I do mine as I go, where I've never owned anything with any sort of warranty I wouldn't know!

I did buy the extended warranty, $50 to swap plugs and flush all diff fluids?? They charged me $50 to put a cabin air filter in which took 30sec's and I would have done! My first Toyota and probably def my last! I got rid of my Mazda due to these stealership maintenance schedules. I traded in my 05 F150 FX4 and 2012 Mustang 5.0 for this truck, regretting it since. I can see a 2015 FX4 in my driveway by next week. Paying over $46,000 for this midsize truck then wanting another grand to change plugs 11k in lol.. Pretty pathetic, no wonder these trucks last for years, they cost a fortune to maintain!!

The plugs are iridium. They're good for like.. 100k or something like that. I can't see the dealership (I'm not doubting you just simply stating) wants to change them at 11k, unless it's something along the line of "so many miles or so many years." I think you should talk to the dealer and find out what they actually mean, because you're right! 11k is early for any fluids other than oil. Diff and trannys are good for 48 I believe

Have you tried another Toyota dealer?

My Tacomas have never sat still long enough to hit the X Number of Months before the X Number of KM for recommended service intervals.

That's what they want me to do, the 36month/48,000km service. Next service would be that one, yet I'll have maybe 13,000km's on it by then. This is only a secondary vehicle, I don't put many km's on it, seems redundant to do all these service intervals according to manual, yes I do get my oil changed every 6months but all these other maintenance items are a money grab!

Yeah, mine sits still for awhile at times, my Explorer is my daily driver, same year as my yota but with 30,000km's on it. Love Fords maintenance package!

Does the extended warranty have stipulations about having to follow the schedule exactly or something?

I skipped on the extended warranty for my 2015 (based on experience with other 2nd Gens I've owned and in the family) so I'm not sure of the wording or requirements it might have.

Which you posted over multiple threads.
It's one thing to ask a question, it's another to continuously bitch about your truck and praise another. If you don't want to pay for the services, don't. It is your vehicle so it is your call what maintenance gets done and what doesn't. No one is forcing you to change plugs or anything, if you don't think they need to be done then tell the dealer you don't want them done. Easy as pie. Probably significantly easier than going through 10 different threads bitching about it.
Don't want new plugs? Don't do them.
Don't want new oils? Don't change them.
Don't like upfront the cost of the truck? Don't buy it.
Love your old truck way more? Sell your Tacoma or trade it at Ford. Sure they will love your business. No one is going to care

I have never used either but in my experience going the cheap route always ends up costing me more.
They end up failing or being junk then I buy the expensive stuff anyway. Should've just paid for it the first time and saved the time and money haha.
