The apps are useless to me. I will not have a "smart" phone until I am forced! The head unit is great without them.

Same here. I've no need to search Bing, get on Facebook and all the rest of the apps.
When my wife is with me with her phone I just have her search for whatever while I drive. Toyota nanny won't let you do most while the truck is moving anyways.

    The apps absolutely blow.
If you have a smart phone you can just get those apps and stream Bluetooth.

The radio prevents many functions when moving anyway.

I installed the apps and it was a waste of time. It's 2005 technology and completely pointless.

Yes -- all of the apps on the radio are just lesser versions of what you can get on your phone ... but, being able to use Pandora on the touchscreen is a really nice feature for me. I use Pandora *a lot* ...

All of the other apps can go away though.

And -- for all of those asking why you still need to use a smartphone once you actually have the apps loaded into the headunit : The apps won't function unless the Entune app is running in the background on your phone. It's actually the part of Entune that makes it semi-useless. If the point of Entune is to have everything in the headunit so that I don't have to mess with my phone, it's a real annoyance to have to dig my phone out and start up the Entune app everytime I get in the car. Well -- almost everytime. Sometimes the app stays running on my phone for a day or so ... but, I find that I often have to start it back up.

can someone say if this works with a 2015 Tacoma Sport Prerunner?
I have the regular Sat Radio but no Entune or Navigation...
Is it a direct drop in? I emailed the OP but no answer?
I have a shark fin antenna already..

Great to hear that, now at least know he's still fulfilling orders and is just a matter of time and patience to get my invoice

H.Haby please keep us updated with the upgrade in your taco when you get the headunit

If you have XM, the weather app, local traffic and the shark fin then you have their entune plus package just no apps or nav. Which is what I have on my 15' currently. It would be a direct swap then. But you have to take the XM module of the old unit and add it to the new one. The shark fin houses the XM and GPS antennas.

If that is the case is it possible that it is just a firmware flash that separates the Plus and Premium.

You will probably get the unit before you get a tracking number. That was my experience anyway....

Sounds logic but the entune plus don't have the sd card slot, maps are loaded to the unit through the sd card, I wish that a simple firmware flash enable the gps function but this is not possible

Someone pull the faceplate off a Plus and see if theres a USB slot at the bottom covered up by the faceplate.

Ill bet the base can be flashed to either one also.

I had a pioneer z130BT headunit and it was flashable to higher end models.
A seller on Ebay was flashing 110s to 130s. It added voice and some other stuff.

There is a blank where the mini-SD map card is inserted.

I still think they would make one radio for cost reasons.
Then they run a different firmware for basic plus and premium.
These look exactly alike other than them buttons.
When my Premium gets here im gonna look see if the face comes off easy or not to see whats behind.

I want to get a Nav unit to replace the Entune Plus on my 2015, but i'm worried about voiding warranty. might have to wait a few years before upgrading.
