You southerners shouldn't worry too much. Lots of salt used in winter up here in lake effect snow country. Doesnt help the salt mines are just down the road.
so what r u going to do with the frame? R u going to sell ur truck or fix it. Don't the frames come with some kind of rust prevention on them?
