2014 Taco RECON Pass

Yo what's up bro. Just wanted to know what size tires are those that passed your recon inspection. I'm just waiting on my wheels to come in from the dealer. Gonna be running 275/66r/18 on BFD's under a leveling kit lift. Minor stuffs. Haha.

@JKidTaco13, Howzit! This was my 2014 Prerunner with Pro Comp Vertigo series 40 wheels (17x9, 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern, 4.75 backspacing, -6 offset) with Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3's at 285/70R17. I've since sold this Prerunner and have a different truck now, but the wheels and tires combo on an MGM 2nd gen Tacoma was a killer combo.

The tire thread was flushed with the fender or small-kine sticking out and just passed with flying colors? Lol

That's my only concern is the tires sticking out pass the stock flare. Cuz I agree with you on the garden flares. Look so ugly lol.

@JKidTaco13, as long as the tread of the tires (parts that touch the ground) are not sticking out past the fender flares, you should be alright.

It also depends on which person is inspecting your vehicle, and also the specs of your wheels (width, backspacing, and offset).

@JKidTaco13 I sure did. 2012 TX Baja edition. I wanted to keep a 2nd gen with 4x4 and rear e-locker. The TX Baja came with the works. I've modified the suspension slightly; armored up with sliders, skids, and a front plate bumper; and a few other must-haves...and some neat-to-have things.

Lots of good info on there, but again...it all depends on your truck and the specific mods, and the inspector at Recon.
