not long...the hardest part was getting to the screw on the inside of the fender-ish area...i just used a small 1/4 drive ratchet and a small socket and it came right off...took a minute. the whole front assembly (grille and both headlights), can be taken off in a matter of 5 mins. the baking of the lights had me sketchy, but it worked great. just make sure that u wait a good long while before trying to reinstall the headlight bezel. it was dry to the touch on mine, but the headlight sealant touched it and pulled paint off in a few spots on the passenger side bezel. i've gotta redo that one side.
