They'll make it right if it's their problem. If not crack some heads,go after the shipping company. That's why they ship insured. Too much cash to not have it right when it's new.

Damn I should have called Weather Guard like you did, but the seller insists on ship exchange. We'll see. Getting a new lid would better chance of packaging.

Hey @markc6606, I'm not sure if I'm being too picky but they sent me a replacement with bad welds and dents on the lid. Although I don't expect perfection, but then again it should be in a state where it is reasonable. Does your Weather Guard have any flaws beside minor scuffs? Any bad welds or dents?

That sucks. No mine is in good shape. The only thing that I could fault is the powdercoated. In places it looks as if they coated over splatter. Again, call Knack and get a file on it then save the email. They guaranteed that I would have no issues and they would stand behind it for life. If a weld pops or PC flakes they'll take care of it. Good luck.

@markc6606 I finally got my Weather Guard on the Taco :). With 3 shipments arriving damaged, I ended up opting to purchase locally from a certified Weather Guard local dealer.

      Questions:
      • I have my Weather Guard pushed against the back rail. I'm thinking over time there may be friction there due to vibration. Something I should worry about and perhaps add weather stripping?
      • Did you end up trimming the Rubber Mounting Pads? They were a few inches longer than needed.
      Thanks

I mounted mine about an inch off the front rail. It seemed to open better that way and as you said I didn't want rubbing. Yes I did trim the rubber to fit better. I do have KB Voodoo steel bed rail sides though. Only make it as tight as you need cause it will crush the plastic OEM SIDES A little bit. Highly recommend KBVoodoo if it's a concern for you. Looks good!

Expensive but worth every penny if you use them the way I do.
