It is connected into the PCV system. The oil catch can collects the oil mist and condenses the fuel vapors while allowing “cleaner” gases to be passed back into the intake. Typically the blow-by gasses are passed through a wire mesh, which give the vapor droplets something to adhere to. I empty it every time I fill up with fuel, there is about an ounce of oil, never put it back in your motor.

I have a situation at home with my little girl. It'll probably be next year before I'm able to start to do anything serious to it. But I'll do that.
