My wife, whose truck we were replacing, really didn't want to have the 4X4. Now that I think about it I really don't know why. Cost was also a factor, but not a big one... I couldn't bear to take this off roading... it is still too new and beautiful! Although a few years down the road I might start to wish I had gotten it with the offroad package.
